We stumbled on this cute little diner on our way to the moonpie general store. Staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. I had a gyro with homeade onion rings (some were bigger than my head), my fiance had the fish sandwich and homeade fried mushrooms. Delicious. I will be back when I come to Chattanooga again.

My husband and I have eaten at all the Ankar's in Chattanooga! On our way home from the YMCA, we spotted this Ankar's that we have not tried! Our favorite meal is the falafel sandwich! By far this was the best falafel sandwich in Chattanooga! Thank you, Ankar's!

I expected the same quality of the other Ankar's Restaurants in town. Not the case. Onion ring grease old tasting, Gyro sauce awful, too much dill. Would not have paid 13.25 for a sandwich and onion rings that were too bad to even eat. Such a disappointment. You do not need to be hiding under the Ankar's umbrella if you... More

Got some take-out sandwiches for lunch. They were prepared in good time and they were good. The only negative was the parking, which wasn't available for take-out and had to park in a city space a couple blocks away. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient.

went early for dinner. empty. had falafel sandwich and a portabella sandwich in a pita. very fresh and delish! Atmosphere could use a little fixing up; more decoration that depicts the style of food served.

Sandwich/salad shop with Mediterranean focus. Had a Greek salad with chicken and it was a nice big portion and was prepared quickly. The place was packed with locals which is always a great sign. There's plenty of casual seating, and it was nice and quick.

This Ankars appears to have a different owner that the other 2 in Chattanooga (may be the same but not apparent), nonetheless, still a good meal. Steak in a sack very tasty. A good meal

I could eat Ankar's Submarine every day of the week. I've eaten at all "Ankar's" in Chattanooga and downtown is by far, the absolute best. The texture of the bread is perfection - a little bit crispy almost on the outside and soft on the inside. I love the combination of meat on the Submarine and the italian dressing. I... More

By Pricie, or should it be with a y, I like Subway and think their sandwiches are very good and cheap for what you get! I do like Ankar's steak sandwich.
