We stumbled on Champ's at lunchtime and were not disappointed. Had the "world famous" chicken with slaw fries and beans and all were excellent. Highly recommended.

It wasn't as good as we had heard but it was pretty good. The service was excellent and very friendly and southern so that was a plus! I probably wouldn't recommend it as the best fried chicken I've ever had but it was worth the trip.

My first time here. The chicken is great but don't forget about the tamales. Great bar and atmosphere. The outside patio is amazing.the pick up lines in the men's bathroom are classic.

This is another solid lunch venue whether you want to get in and out or if you just want to relax. Service is always good and the food satisfying. The fried chicken beckons me every time and I have not been disappointed. Super sweet tea. If that is not your thing, maybe go 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet. Yup, they... More

We waited as expected for about 1 1/2 hours as it was a brand new opening. We ordered appetizers, they were good. Thought we were off to a good start. Until it came time for the entree. Ours came out smelling and tasting like cigarettes. It was awful. The service was horrible. Our waitress came around every once in a... More

Yesterday I had another lunch at Champy's and it was the best! The chicken was so good I was trying to eat the bones ha! The slaw and especially the beans that come with it are very good. Champy's food and service are consistently excellent. I like them so well I bought a T-shirt from them.

met some friends here for lunch as we have a few times previously. It stays busy and is very popular with lunch and after work crowd. Staff is pretty attentive and help each other out. I got the chicken strips and fries and they were good. They have recently opened a location NE of town on Lee Hwy. I also... More

This was the best fried chicken I ever had-- and the slaw and baked beans were pretty great, too! Also the Mississippi Mud pie rocks! ...It's a fun little place -- If you are visiting Chattanooga, don't leave without eating here.... You can eat in the restaurant or use take out--

We've eaten at Champy's downtown several times and have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. We always get the tamales for an appetizer and the 8-piece chicken meal with two sides (usually slaw and baked beans). Since there's only three of us we always have enough to take home for another meal - bonus! I listed it... More
