Whenever we go on a trip I try to look for things that are unique, different from the things that we have at home. We try to live it up a little, lol! Al's was great! We stopped after a long day of sightseeing, just looking to get a good meal before calling it a night. The food was good!... More

Grocery store, clothes/souvenir store and restaurant. We ate there on the way west and when we were on our way back 10 days later. The food was good, plenty of it, and reasonably priced. The store is quite big with souvenir stuff but also nice clothes. It really us an Oasis.

We stop here every so often on trips to the hills. There was no wait and our waitress was prompt. The salad bar is ok. We were there for some anniversary so it was a special price so that helped. The been and ham soup was very over cooked. The beans had all disintegrated into a mush. The salad was... More

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with great service on my trip to Rapid City. The buffalo burger was great, as always. Also enjoyed their homemade cinnamon ice cream with apple pie for dessert. They were quick to seat me and get me served, which was fabulous since I travel with my pet. I don't often do sit down restaurants when I... More

As we traveled about 1200 miles on this roadtrip, we looked for the restaurants that were unique along the way. This one was hyped up a bit ... so we thought, "yeah, let's try it." I ordered all the things you were supposed to and they were "o.k." Buffalo Burger was as lean as predicted, but you do need to... More

This is a great stop to eat on I-90 as you cross South Dakota. It is near the Missouri River crossing. We had a good all American breakfast there. The 5 cent coffee was good too. There's a lot more to see here if you have the time but we were just stopping for gas and breakfast.

Stopping at Al's is required when crossing South Dakota. Kids love it for all the candy and the huge slices of pie. The gift shop is surprisingly large and has something for everyone. The food is exactly what you'd imagine, the staff is very friendly, and as an added bonus there's a big grocery store attached. Best part: there are... More

While staying in this town I stopped in for dinner. The food was good. The staff was friendly and the prices were decent. I would eat here again.

03/28/16 at 5:10 p.m. When my wife and I arrived at the hostess desk, she was talking to one of the waiters, grabbed two menus and started walking off still talking to the waiter [her boyfriend?] got to the table and realized that my wife and I were left standing at her station. She motioned for us to come forward,... More

Not sure their food is their best asset. My Indian taco was tough and dry and my husband's patty melt was greasy, but the salad bar was great and they are noted for their pies. There is a lot of seating. ..the rooms go on and on, and there is definitely a lot of stuff to look at!
