We try to plan our rides around the Boondocks so that we can fill with some high octane fuel. The ice cream is decent, not the best, but ok. Walking through the antiques and memorabilia is interesting for some.

This place takes you back in time to an era when the pace was a little slower. It is like stepping into a time machine set to the 50's. There is an old arcade, a diner, a little gift shop, and a lot of vintage cars. We ate at the diner, everything was good!! They even had rootbeer floats. If... More

To begin with: it's not a restaurant, I don't know why Tripadvisor thinks it is. Yes, there is a diner, but that's not the point. There is a free museum, a Studebaker collection and a large amount of 50's memorabilia. Located about 10 mls South of Deadwood, on the way to Rushmore, this place is a heaven for photographers. Yes,... More

The owner of this place is a complete jerk! Likes to yell and swear at 2 year olds and even grab them by the arm!!! Anyone with young children I would NOT suggest this place. Completely disrespectful owner that does not know how to treat customers. DISGUSTED!

A quaint road side attraction. If you're going to stop for lunch, why not. A real nostalgic 1950's diner, some lovely looking cars, and possibly the ugliest statue of Marilyn Munroe I have ever seen. It would have been nice to have someone explain "why". If this was on Route 66 it would probably be rammed full. As it was,... More

We tried for supper after reading the reviews but the dining room was closed. The gal at the lunch counter said it was really hot in there. (This was 5:30 on a Thursday night and we were the only people there). The only option was filthy barstools at a sticky counter. We passed. The rides look scary. Older than me... More

We honestly didn't stop here too long, so this review might not help anyone. We drove by it on the way to Deadwood, SD. We pulled in to take some pictures, but because we were on a time crunch, we kept driving. In hindsight, we wish we would have gotten out and enjoyed the place. It looked like a lot... More

We stopped here on our way to Deadwood. The guy that served us in the diner was great. Very friendly and personable. The food was good, and when we ate in the diner it felt like we were in the 50's. From there we went into the Elvis memorabilia store. The staff was great. There's so much to see, and... More

We stopped here for dinner on the way back to Deadwood from Mt. Rushmore. That's the road it's on in the middle of no where .... Starting with the food - the girl cooking did and awesome job great burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings and cold beer ... then we had to walk off all that ... they had an... More

Wow-it's a crazy sight. A carnival, 50s diner, midway (arcade/carnival games), and collector's/toy shop nestled in a beautiful forest in South Dakota. Quite refreshing as they have plenty of grub and alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold beverages. Really stopped just for the restroom but the classic cars and hard to find collector's items wooed me. I have been to several tourist... More
