Mediocre. Southern food that wasn't truly made from scratch. The brown gravy was made from a packet that you mix with water. Convenient location off the interstate, but Nothing to write home about. Staff wasn't very attentive and food took a while to come out.

Went for supper on advice of hotel we were staying in. I had the buffet but it had a small choice. I had the fish, shrimps and chicken. They were so coated that you hardly noticed what was under it. The chicken was dry. I hate to say it but for my it was one of the worst meals I... More

Good salad bar. Friendly workers. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Restaurant was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. Good local fare.

We saw the sign on I-95 and stopped hoping to find a hidden gem. Nice folks, and many local people eating there, but the food didn't match the greeting and neither did the service. There was so much conversation going on with the locals that we were ignored for ten minutes after sitting down, and then another ten after getting... More

We stopped by for dinner. Ordering 2 dinners. One of them is the fried pork 6oz steak. One is the chicken with mushrooms and cheese. The mushrooms are from a can. The chicken was burned. The bacon was completely not cooked. We showed it to the cook her self who took it and never came back. When we complained they... More

We are not chain people, so thanks to TA, we found this little local gem. It was right at noon on a Friday so it was hopping with locals. We had to wait only about 5 min for a seat, and the older man behind us in line entertained us with some corny jokes. Everyone was going for the buffet,... More

They served very traditional fried Southern food. It was very busy. We ordered hamburgers off the menu, but we noticed everyone else who ate at the restaurant choose the "All you can eat" buffet. We weren't use to some of the Southern style cooking, so we played it safe and just ate hamburgers.

Driving back from Florida we were foing to look for a place to get some sleep, but wound up stopping here for dinner, then continued our drive back to NC . This is not fancy, seems a local favorite, especially on a Friday night. The portions are very generous, prices average, service o.k., food was fresh cooked and worth the... More

Hubby and I chose the buffet so we could get back on the road quickly. It didn't disappoint. Yummy fried chicken, several veggie options and nice desserts. Friendly staff. Good choice.

We were headed South to our overnight stay near Hilton Head and wanted a quick dinner. The reviews for the Olde House Cafe sounded ideal. Once again, Trip Advisor and its loyal reviewers solved the problem. The food here was authentic, oh-so-delicious and inexpensive. I had the buffet and can't remember when fried chicken tasted better. The succotash, black-eyed peas,... More
