The German draft beers are wonderful. I had a choice. The Weiner Schnitzel was as good as when we were in Germany. At 8 o'clock on a Wednesday night they were full. The sauerkraut was a Bavarian type which I enjoy. I'll go back.

The draft German beer was $6.95 & $7.50 for 0.5 l glasses minus the “Happy Hour” $1 discount on each. We had the Oktober Fest special Veal Jager Schnitzel ($22.50) and the classic Weiner Schnitzel ($20.95) both with spätzle and red cabbage. They were both very yummy. We finished with a couple of shots of fruit-flavored brandy for $8.99 minus... More

Not a lot of competition - if you want real German and are willing to pay the price (a little high for the Carolinas), it's not bad. I like the shnitzel, my wife enjoyed the wurst. The cabbage dishes seemed a little bland - no apple, little sweetening in the red cabbage; an over-abundance of whole dill seeds and caraway... More

Who'd have thought you could get authentic German food near a beach? After living in Germany for awhile, this place does it right. So delicious and beautifully presented as well. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you are ever in Myrtle Beach. Reasonably priced as well. We were visiting from Houston so I only wish we were... More

We live German food . When we travel we always look to see if we can find a restaurant with German food. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for almost 30 years. We used to love Horst Guesthaus but it is not as good as it once was. We found Cafe Old Vienna several years ago and this is... More

Something a little different, a nice change of pace from the regular fare in the area. They have some lovely specials at lunchtime and the servers are very helpful as well. This is always a must stop for us when we are in Myrtle Beach.

The Cafe Old Vienna was our second choice for dinner. The first eatery had no cars in the parking lot and so we bailed. Without reservations, we were seated right away. There was live music on a small stage. Lots of people in small space were enjoying time together over their food. I only ordered an appetizer because I had... More

We're never disappointed when we dine at Cafe Old Vienna and last night was no exception. The sauerbraten is melt in your mouth delicious. My husband's liver was excellent. The service was friendly, yet professional. And yes, we did save some room to split a strudel. I've been to Germany and this place is the real deal.

I spent 2 years in Germany during the 70's in the US Army. Some days we would get together and drive into the local town and stop in at the local Guest House. Always had Schnitzels and home fries or cabbage or corn , potatoes. I have been looking for original Schnitzel since I left Germany. Found it here and... More

I have been to this restaurant more than 20 times over the past 2 years. The food is authentic. If you ever spent any time in Germany or Austria you would be familiar with their food. You will find Cafe Old Vienna to be as authentic and fresh as you can find. From the sausages to the schnitzel to the... More
