The Wreck of the Richard and Charlene is fun just to find. The only have fried food. The experience of waiting for your table by the dock is always fun.

Stopped for a birthday dinner. Word of warning - if you're looking for fine dining, keep going. Don't wear a coat and tie. But if you're looking for good seafood and a relatively reasonable price with a wonderful view, then come on. We were welcomed...More

A fresh slice off Kraft paper is pulled off the roll by your server to cover your wooden table, and she takes your drink order and serves it up promptly while you peruse the same usual menu they've had forever. The screened in 'porch' is...More

A chef recommended the Wreck for the best local seafood. We agree. Not fancy, paper table cloth, freshest shrimp and fish.

Food was ok. No air conditioning. Not a place I will return. Too hot with just ceiling fans, so just ate dinner got dessert to go. I didn't see a sign just saw people parking.

First off, the Charleston area is known for exquisite, chef-prepared dining. At first, that is what I was looking for - but my wife had a taste for top-notch fried seafood. So... we asked around and came up with Wreck of the Richard and Charlene...More

We did not have reservations, do not think they take them. We did have to wait a while but it was not extremely long and the food was worth the wait.
