Little bit of a wait; "short staffed because staff had left early". Shrimp and grits were fabulous. Shepard's pie rivals my homemade. Beautiful little property and on a warmer day, it would have been lovely to sit outside. It took quite some time for our waitress to take our order and an even longer time for the meal to come... I love he quaint town of Landrum and a favorite part, usually what brings me to this little town is Stone Soup. It's small but the food is always well prepared and delicious. Homemade desserts are a big plus! They use local vendors for much of their food & beverages. Great job keeping it LOCAL. The pimento cheese & fried... More

We were staying at The Redhorse Inn and they recommended this restaurant. The food and the service were excellent! Highly recommend.

This has always been a favorite restaurant of mine but during our most recent visit, it felt as if something had changed. Yes, they had remodeled since our last visit. And I personally feel that took away some of the charm. But the food seemed to have changed. Still good, of course, but not as special as I remembered. We... More

Great lunch stop. Shrimp and grits are very good. Soup and sandwich of the day was also a winner. Will be back.

My second trip here was a disaster to say the least. We stopped for lunch on our way to Tennessee with another couple. I had stopped there before and it was good but not great but this time we came in a waited to be seated. After 15 minutes and no one greeting us I asked the cook to get... More

I'm sorry that was your experience. It's hard to believe you waited 25 minutes and were not seated. We are a small restaurant focused on good, fresh food, good service and hospitality. I don't understand how you can rate us when you didn't dine with us. In the future, it's helpful if you make a reservation to ensure seating. Again,... More

I've been going to Stone Soup for several years. As a soup lover I usually go there for the soups -- which, by the way, are always fresh, unique and delicious. Stone Soup also does a great job with sandwiches. They, like the soup, are varied, eclectic and very good. The ambiance is "horses" as Landrum is a horse town.... More

We came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere romantic, and our server was personable. They even brought out a peach dessert as a treat for us! This restaurant will become part of our Landrum tradition!

We were gifted a dinner for two purchased at an auction to benefit the Boy Scouts of America. We entered this rather rustic looking building to be pleasantly surprised by a very classy dining room, actually rooms. There were many equestrian themed photos on the wall, but they added to the upscale feeling of the room. We totally enjoyed our... More
