Thank you Barbara for your kind review. Very much appreciated. The Beet Salad is a special recipe that often gets overlooked because many people don't think they like beets due to bad experiences when beets were served in their high school cafeterias !! But, beets...More

The breakfast at Signe's looks unique on the menu, but it's pretty average in actuality. Also, the service is pretty slow and spotty because they don't employee enough staff in the morning even if it's busy. The baked goods are really good, but we will...More

We love the bakery for breakfast or lunch. My favorite sandwich is the Hot Buick! I crave it. Even the iced tea is delicious. Love to take home some Key Lime Pound cake for later too!

If you are not looking for fancy breakfast don’t go here. There is not much on the menu for breakfast that is “normal” breakfast food.More

Hi Jen, I must agree. "Normal Breakfast Food" is not our thing. But, perhaps that is why we are not very pleased to be entering our 46th year of feeding residents of Hilton Head Island and the thousands of vacationing guests we are pleased to...More

Their thick French Toast was made popular by Rachel Ray. And it's worth the trip to Signe's to have some! The trio provides you with a sampling of three flavors, and they're all good. It's also a great bakery! Wonderful cookies and biscotti!More

Thanks for the kinds words, Will. Our French Toast is baked not fried. That's a key difference, and we are blessed that most people, like you, seem to prefer the way we make it. Rich and moist. It continues to be our best selling item...More

Breakfast at Signe's is like having a meal at an eccentric aunt's who is a great cook. We loved the loaded frittatas, bread pudding like French toast. Service was friendly. Make sure to try the Key Lime pie and pound cake.

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes. We make traditional Easter Challah Bread. We also have a wide assortment of other fresh baked buns like Swedish Cardamom rolls. But, unfortunately not the poppyseed strip cakes.

Signe's Heaven Bound Bakery & Café has been a Hilton Head Island tradition since 1972. Signe Gardo still coordinates the operation, which has been featured in numerous national publications as well as the Food Network for its eclectic breakfast and luncheon menu. All-day breakfast includes a remarkably delicious baked French Toast (blueberry, blackberry and old fashioned) as well as fluffy frittatas, hearty shrimp & grits and an assortment of fresh pastries. An array of Signe's specialty salads appeal to local vegetarians as well as her quiches and tarts. Sandwiches run the gamut from turkey & cranberry to Hot Reubens. Then, of course, there are desserts - lots of them, including our renowned double-chocolate "Mud-dauber" cupcake to sweet-potato/pecan pies, fresh key lime pie and a choice of cakes by the slice, made daily.
