Spontaneous visit with the baby ... Did not disappoint. Great team, warm welcome. A good steak costs a bit- however- cooked to perfection, great crust and texture, not to mention the taste. Phenomenal! Had the French onion soup as starter , was great but not really necessary- could not finish the steak and not try a dessert... Will be back!

We recently celebrated our son's birthday at Hall's Chophouse in Greenville. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish-from the attentive waitstaff and great setting,to the outstanding food! We also were serenaded by a talented pianist/guitarist who provided just the right background music to complement our meal. Eli, our server, was charming and helpful as we made our dinner selections,... More

The service, food and piano player in combination made a great night out. The steak was cooked to perfection and so was the grouper. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. There was a man playing at the piano, mostly Billy Joel tunes, and he was very good. The restaurant is not inexpensive but well worth the price.

My son and I have a small LLC and splurge on dinner for the two of us every quarter. After reading some of the unfavorable reviews I suggested that we wait but he said let's find out for ourselves so we did and it was a good decision. They have now been open for three months and I can advise... More

We booked a reservation based on a recommendation from a friend who knew we were coming into town for a getaway weekend. We had a very nice table, warm and friendly wait staff and were wonderfully surprised with two glasses of champagne in honor of our anniversary! My husband ordered the 16oz New York Strip steak and I got the... More

Recently, my wife and I went to the new restaurant in town (located downtown where High Cotton used to be). I have heard a lot about Halls Chophouse in Charleston and how it is a nationally recognized restaurant so I was pretty excited. I am pleased to say this restaurant surpassed all of our expectations! The only negative I could... More

This place lives up to the hype, it is absolutely one of a kind! The level of service you get when you first walk in the door is amazing - the owner greeted us and welcomed us to Charleston! Our server was precious, too. You must try their Sunday gospel brunch with the mimosa carafe...the French toast is out of... More

We made reservations earlier in the week and we were glad we did because the restaurants get's very busy. We were seated where I had asked when I made our reservation and that was very nice. After being seated both our server Stephen and his assistant came by to induced themselves and explained a few things about the menu. They... More

Our night started early. We had reservations for 5:00 pm. Our waitress was very cordial and knew a lot about the staple dishes of the house. After she served us water and bread she came several times to check if we were ready to place the order. Which is something that every good waitress does, but it got to a... More

It pains me to write this review in that I LOVE Halls Chophouse in Charleston. We always have excellent food and service there. We waited to try the Halls in Greenville to give them a chance to get things worked out. Unfortunately...they are still working things out. They took over the space that was formerly High Cotton when they purchased... More
