This place reminded me of the kind of seafood house I'd been to in New Jersey and Maryland: not much on atmosphere but great food and plenty of it. The portions are very generous. The shrimp cocktail is fabulously fresh and delicious. I had a broiled platter of Alaskan white fish and flounder. Both were good. The salads are very... More

I have been to this restaurant four times because everyone talks about how wonderful it is. The one time my ice tea was rancid the other times my fish was just OK. It just does not taste like fresh Fish that I get in Charleston South Carolina. i used to go to the Fishcamp in Gastonia and they were a... More

Super good seafood and plenty of it. Oysters, shrimp flounder and more. I recommend fried, but if you have to, the broiled is excellent too. Try the whole flounder, or better yet get a combo plate. Hush puppies are the best, but try not to eat too many before your food comes. Good spot for a gathering as they have... More

Went with a group of 40. The staff was forwarned and delivered drinks and food rapidly with no mistakes! Great selection of items from pork chops to seafood, of course, broiled or breaded, and nice salads. Hush puppies come with everything and are great diet breakers. Too full to try dessert.

Loud, proud, and greasy. Flounder was a little too greasy for my tastes, but hush puppies and fries were excellent. Portions are very generous!

The front entrance is cordoned off so it separates smaller groups from parties of more than 5 - smart and efficient. In spite of a Friday dinner crowd, we were seated within 10 minutes. The hush puppies came out within minutes. They weren't greasy but we prefer them with whole kernels of corn and more pepper. These were more mealy.... More

Raised on a farm, seafood was never served. As an adult I made an effort to expand my culinary comfort zone. My attempts at seafood failed until I found Captain Steve's. This non-seafood eating customer finally found seafood done correctly and worthy of repeat visits anytime my journey takes me remotely close to Fort Mill, S.C. I love the entrees,... More

Never disappointed when I eat here and the portions will definitely be your lunch the next day. The cost is very reasonable.
