Best food I've had in the south. The service & atmosphere matches the high quality of food. I was told the menu changes depending on what is in season and available. You never know what is on menu and the chief's creativity will pleasantly surprise...More

Hard to believe this gem is in Columbia. With its ever-changing menu, seasonal ingredients, and creative cocktails, Motor Supply could stand up against the best restaurants in the country's biggest cities.

Attention to detail in service, drinks, and food is what sets this bistro apart. The chef scours the markets every morning choosing only the best--so the menu changes daily. We started with a craft cocktail, the Gin and Jam, created by the bartender--pretty to look...More

This Restaurant is top flight! This is, in part, evidenced by the tremendous crowds it draws in and the difficulty in obtaining a reservation at peak times. Is is rather pricey but well worth the expenditure. It is in the heart of Columbia's Vista area...More

Celebratory dinner w/ friends included the Charcuterie board followed by a game entree (always something you don't expect) and a most delightful desert. The menu and cocktails change almost nightly-- always eclectic and intriguing... and very tasty!

Arrived for lunch at 2, stops service at 3. Had an only fair salmon salad, and glass of Pinot Noir. Restaurant was full of staff noisily doing cleanup and prep for dinner. Typical fern bar experience, only a notch or above Applebee's.

What a find!! Fabulous ambiance, outstanding service, and excellent food! This is a gem in an area that is delightfully restored. So many businesses in old buildings with charm and character. If in Columbia, Motor Supply is a MUSTđź’›

We have eaten here 3 times, the first two times over 4 years ago when we were visiting as a couple. Most recently we visited again and brought our 2 kids (with an iPad and a stroller so we could enjoy our meal!) the menu...More

I would say that it really isn't all that kid friendly...not that they wouldn't allow kids it's just more of an adult place to be honest.

Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
