Just in the area for work and would highly recommend this restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Parking was the only complaint but it's too be expected when downtown. They do offer valet parking which helped. I'm going back if I get back to the...More

I'd say that Motor Supply Bistro lived up to its positive reviews. It is an upscale yet casual restaurant with a really lovely, warm, slightly eclectic atmosphere inside. It is housed in an historic building that once was the home of an actual motor supply...More

Just missed 5 stars by a little. Loved the patio with the garage door opened and the service was Outstanding. However, the food feel just a little short. Mine was perfect--pork loin. However, Nancy's burger was served on Texas toast (that was okay) and the...More

We were moving in our freshman daughter to USC and picked Motor City based on prior reviews. The restaurant seated us early, the food was excellent and they had a very good beer list. Nice atmosphere, convenient to campus. Look forward to next visit!

I would say that it really isn't all that kid friendly...not that they wouldn't allow kids it's just more of an adult place to be honest.

Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
