We didn't have plans to go to Bluefin, just happened upon it while out and about. When we arrived, it wasn't too crowded and we didn't have to wait. The hostess wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. Took a while for our server to arrive and she was quite pleasant. Took a while to get our drinks but they finally arrived,... More

I want here with two work colleagues for dinner. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Service was prompt and attentive throughout our dinner. Overall my impression is that the restaurant wants to come off as a higher end restaurant than it actually is. The appetizers that we ordered included the crab dip and the chicken spring rolls. There... More

The food and the service were big hits. We ate four different entree's and they were all great. The Tuna was cooked perfectly, the trout was excellent, the veggies were steamed well and the scallops (fresh frozen) were good. We also had a couple of cocktails - the martini with the blue cheese olives was the way to go. We... More

Place is very nice , staff friendly but the food was just ok. Better value at Captain d's. Fish was not fresh, shrimp was over cooked. The crab cakes were too bready For the price there are better values out there

Over the past few weeks I have been to Bluefin twice with a large group of friends. Both times were Friday nights. Both times the restaurant was not especially busy. The atmosphere is nothing special. Service was the same no bad comments nor anything of note. One other thing both visits had in common were dry overcooked food. The first... More

Hubby and I had a date night so we came here for dinner. The food was pretty good. We got there around 6:20 and had our food very quickly and it was very hot. My husband got the Ribeye for $26 and I got the fried shrimp and fried crab cakes platter for $20. Husband said his ribeye was really... More

Overall, the food was good. If you are looking for large portions, you will not find it here. It can be pricey with the portions, but overall it was good. If you want decent prices more along with portions, I suggest going at lunch.

We celebrated here with a fabulous dinner for our recent Ft. Jackson grad from boot camp. We selected Blue Fin from 3 choices we narrowed down and it did NOT disappoint. My soldier was craving seafood so she ordered the twin lobster tails. Others at our table selected the rib eye, filet mignon, oven fried chicken and a penne pasta.... More

My final night in Columbia visiting daughter and family they wanted to try Blue Fin. We took three grandkids ages eight, three and one. Not a challenge. No, really. We quickly got pasta for the kids and drinks and appetizers for us adults (calamari, mussels, and crab cakes). We could have simple ordered MORE appetizers...so yummy. I got lobster tails... More

Just visited last night for dinner. Waiter was very friendly and honest about my food choices. The atmosphere was great, live musician, people at the bar (but not too noisy). Even good movies, yes movies and just sports, on the TV. I had the shrimp tempura appetizer, and the lobster tail x 2 with lemon butter sauce as my meal.... More
