I had seen people mention and recommend this restaurant in articles and travel blogs and we happened to be staying right around the corner so we ordered it one morning for breakfast. We ordered two different biscuit sandwiches (bacon, egg, and cheese and the the...Pimento, Sausage, and Egg), as well as an order of Biscuits and Gravy. The biscuits were just ok. They weren't bad, but if your restaurant is known for one thing it better be amazing. These were kind of hard on top, tough, not flaky and definitely nothing special. Again, they weren't bad but I wouldn't waste my time or money (each sandwich was $10 for take-out breakfast!) on trying again.More

We heard the hype about Callie’s and decided to try! We anticipated a long wait, but didn’t have one at all. Probably had a 10-15 minute wait for our food but no wait to order. Biscuits were a huge hit. I got a bacon, egg...and cheese sandwich and my husband got sausage egg and cheese. My kids each got the 3 for 6 mini biscuits so they could “sample”. We were all very happy with our meals and Husband and I both really liked their hot drip coffee! Would 100% recommend for a no-fuss breakfast. I even bought biscuit mixes, jams and grits for gifts for friends back home! And those were a huge hit as well!More

What southerners don’t love a good, hot biscuit ... but we were disappointed. Everything is take-out and we didn’t mind the short wait to order but we waited 25 minutes for the food (no exaggeration). Our coffee was 2/3 gone and cool (we sipped slowly...while waiting) before the biscuits came. The biscuit had a good enough flavor, though it fell into pieces but was drrryyy, ... and “country ham” is a misnomer for dry, minute, tasteless flakes (again, no exaggeration). Finally, according to a sign on the door, there was to be a free biscuit since it was ‘National Biscuit Day.’ Yup - no biscuit, and the food delivery server was oblivious to the offer. Maybe on a second visit we’d know what to do differently ... ask for jelly and a coffee refill but since we live two states away, there won’t be a second visit.More

We put in an early morning pick-up order for biscuits at Callie's Hot LIttle Biscuit on King Street. I got a bacon, egg and cheese. My husband got a sausage, egg and pimento cheese and we got a third sausage and cheese for my aunt....We also got a baker's dozen of the assorted little biscuits for my daughter and to be able to sample some of the other flavors. I'm SOOOO glad we got that Baker's Dozen because when we got to our destination at the carriage tours to eat our breakfast, we discovered my sandwich wasn't included in the bag and my husband's was just pimento cheese-no sausage or egg. At that point, we couldn't go back to the shop, we needed to quickly eat to make our carriage tour reservation. I immediately ate 3 or 4 of the mini biscuits as my breakfast (blackberry was my favorite!) and then I snacked on the rest throughout the day. Sadly the box fell out of our stroller coming down the steps of Poogan's Porch later in the day and we lost about 6 of the biscuits (sad face), but we managed to salvage some that didn't hit the ground. And we attempted to stop at the Market location in Charleston because I REALLY wanted a Mint Sweet Tea, but they had just closed. :( My husband emailed about the biscuits we never received and we were immediately reimbursed for what was missing. I'll tell you what, the food was good, but the customer service puts them over the top. I would give anyone my business any time, any day when they acknowledge a mistake and work to make it right! Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, come to Raleigh, NC!More

The biscuit itself was moist and dense. However the toppings fell flat. Sausage gravy was not your typical country style but rather very runny. The egg tasted and appeared to be those carton eggs rather than a fresh cracked one. Pimento cheese was good. Overall...a decent breakfast but definitely expected more from the reviews.More

After reading multiple favourable published reviews within international magazines, I paid a visit on the morning of 20 May 2021. The 3 biscuit box was ordered afterwich the problems commenced. Positives 1. Location 2. Street parking generally available in the mornings Negatives 1. At the...time of order placement, I asked for a printed receipt. The young female clerk stated, "Due to Covid-19, we do not have a printer." She gestured towards the computer screen which gave two receipt options: (A) via SMS or (B) via e-mail. I replied, "This is a problem." She made no further comment. Her statement is pure rubblsh! There is NO known medical relationship betwixt Covid-19 and issuing a printed receipt. What was not stated is the growing trend amoungst businesses to trick customers into giving their telephone number and/or e-mail address to receive a receipt. These businesses then (A) add the unsuspecting customer to their database for advertisements or worse, and/or (B) sell this valuable data to mass marketers. 2. When the biscuits were delivered to me [waiting outside], they were at room temperature . . . neither hot, nor warm. Their size was approximately the same as a White Castle hamburger bun, something I was not expecting. 3. Ham biscuit: contained multiple "micro-flecks" of tasteless ham, some 3mm x 3mm x 1mm in size with 75% of the ham flecks in the box, not on the biscuit. The cheese & chives biscuit tasted like margarine was an ingredient. The buttermilk biscuit was uninspiringly forgettable. 4. Shortly after taking a small nibble from each, a miserable case of indigestion arrived which has subsequently persisted for several hours as it proved 100% immune to ALL indigestion remedies. Perhaps these biscuits will kill Covid? Summary: These entities are masquerading as biscuits. A more accurate description would be "lead bombs." By comparison, the old fashioned Bisquick box biscuits are significantly lighter and easier to digest. Should you desire a true country ham biscuit, I suggest trying Hardees or Carl's Jr. The only salvation I see for Callie's biscuits is to use them as skeet after freezing.More

Loved these biscuits. Taste like grandma made them and the pimento cheese on the top was the best. Be sure to grab the cinnamon biscuits too!

Plan on waiting a few for your breakfast. You can order ahead. There is no where to eat since the pandemic has changed this to just an order and pickup place. The biscuits are to die for and a full meal! I had the bacon...and egg breakfast biscuit and its the best I've ever had. Popular place as we had to wait about 40 minutes--but worth it!More

If you have hate in your heart, this is your place. The moment I walked in I saw racist flags draped all over, promoting one race over all others. Despicable. If I hadn't ordered ahead and paid in advance i would have left.

Yes, if no one else is there. About four to five seats along the wall. It's a very small place, about eight feet wide. We took our food a block up to Starbucks and had our breakfasts there with no issues.
