Just got back from the restaurant. We were seated in less than 5 minutes, the atmosphere was very relaxed. Our waitress was Olivia, she did an great job at making suggestions and answering questions about the menu. We tried the Fried Shrimp Fried Flounder Fried Green Tomatoes Fries Vegetables Eggplant Fries Corn Fritte Everything was fine. Standard fried food. The... More

We've never done Locklear's LCG at night but we certainly enjoyed it for a lunch time reunion with a special friend. We were looking for a place with space to add privacy to our conversations and good food to our hungry demeanors. We found both and the staff didn't even break a sweat. The food was really fresh and tasty... More

We ate breakfast here one day because we had been so disappointed in Page's. Page's was so crowded we had to go back later, and were not impressed. We decided to try Locklear's the next day, and while their breakfast menu was not very large, it was excellent. My husband had a wrap which included eggs, cheese, sausage and shrimp... More

We recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at Locklears Low Country Grill in Charleston,SC. Last year, I selected the same entree and this year I was not disappointed. A most unusual combination of treats for the palette! Large shrimp in a cajon sauce with mushroom covered a generous amount of grits.Delish! Complimenting the dish was an unusual corn filled fritter with... More

We stumbled across this restaurant and were quite pleased. Seemed to be full of locals. Had a great meal and a colorful and friendlly waiter.

Great service, ESP on Christmas Eve. Brian was our waiter and provided wonderful timely service. Bucket of steamed oysters as appetizer for only 8 bucks was a great starter. Ordered shrimp & grits, which was excellent .Grilled flounder was delicious. Fried seafood platter was plentiful. All in all, a great choice for dinner

After the "hostess" with a bad attitude failed to put us on the list we finally got the attention of a flustered owner or manager and were seated after two other parties who got there after us. Then waited about an hour and a half and never got our food. We got our drinks, cold soup and calamari. Had to... More

Easter lunch - gotta try the she crab soup with the dollop of sherry added before service! It was pretty fabulous. We were in the mood for fried seafood and they did it very well! -Tender, cooked gently - shrimp, scallops, oysters. Our absolute favorite was the fried okra - please tell me how they do it - buttermilk maybe?... More

We had an excellent meal of Shrimp & grits with Cajun seasoning. We had their fried green tomatoes, which were just like Grandma used to make. The service was very good and this is a very friendly and welcoming place. The manager went around to each table making sure everything was good. He would spend time talking to folks and... More
