Awesome food!!! Very friendly staff!!! Would highly recommend reservations as the place is small but totally worth the wait if you don't end up planning ahead. Our table had the pastrami sandwich, chicken Caesar salad and the general tso wrap. Everything was fantastic!!! A must-visit...More

Several locals recommended the Cru Cafe. Nothing wrong, but not extraordinary either. Good southern (perhaps comfort) food (with a twist or two), very friendly and nice staff and chefs, quaint (in old house), and not (too) pricey.

My daughter and I love fried green tomatoes, so we started off with the appetizer which was great. The staff was limited but very efficient. The food was fresh and flavorful and it was fun to enjoy the atmosphere with regulars and tourists.

You cannot go wrong with Cru. Great for lunch or dinner in a perfect little Charleston house. Caution: can get super busy and loud, but it's worth the charm! Must visit.

Let me qualify this. We did not eat there. It was so packed at 1pm there was still a 45 minute wait. If you want to eat there, please, MAKE RESERVATIONS. I will do that next time I go. We were told it was excellent,...More
