Xiao Bao Biscuit was recommended by a waiter from a different restaurant (a top 10 Trip Advisor restaurant where we also dined) So glad we took his advice! We biked out to Xiao Bao Biscuit's unassuming, yet funky fun establishment. Our family ordered 5 out of the 6 lunch offerings. Each one had a unique and delicious flavor combination. The... More

Really creative, delicious food! Had lunch there recently and enjoyed everything we ordered, but wasn't sure that would be the happy outcome. Descriptions are difficult to imagine. No flexibility of the menu, so if you don't like an ingredient, don't order. We don't eat cilantro, so avoided the one dish in which it is included, but it garnishes several dishes... More

Visited Xiao Bao Biscuit on 11/14/16. Funky little place in an old converted gas station that's hard to find but well worth the search. Well stocked bar. Limited seating, but your gastronomical neurons will fire at 100% when you savor the delectable creations. Be prepared for a cornucopia of flavors expertly prepared and presented. Although the fair is a bit... More

Charleston is great town with some outstanding restaurants, but prices are high. Many places feature entrees in the $30-$40 range, or even higher. We wanted an interesting meal for a reasonable price. Xiao Bao Biscuit fit the bill. The dishes are served tapas style. Everything we had was delicious. Some dishes are spicy and pack a moderate punch. The restaurant... More

Came here for some pre-dinner snacks as we wanted to check out the hype. We got some drinks, the papaya salad and the okonomiyaki with egg on top. Honestly, I thought they were all just okay. Nothing bad but nothing to rave about. The papaya salad is pretty spicy though if you can't handle that well. The okonomiyaki had some... More

I'm a big fan of any Asian food and I have been dying to try this place. I usually visit Charleston on weekends and kept forgetting this place is not open on Sunday's. I finally made it out on a Friday night at 5:30, the place was already super packed and we got there right when they open for dinner.... More

This restaurant is located in a former gas station at the corner of Rutledge and Spring Streets. They only have a tiny sign painted on the window, so it is an easy place to drive by. The parking lot can accommodate only about 8 cars but there is ample parking on Rutledge and Spring if you don't find a spot... More

We took guests from Chicago to this restaurant. The special that day was Vietnamese meatballs in a sauce with mustard greens. One of the guests ordered this and WOW! I don't think I would have shared but put it under lock and key. I can't say I have ever had anything this delicious! Although everyone was full after the meal... More

I'd been wanting to try Xiao Boa Biscuit for months-- I was really looking forward to it. We ordered the Mapo Dou Fu, which was tasty-- very spicy-- Pad Kra Pow-- very flavorful, also spicy-- and Bo Bo Ji-- sesame sauce was a tad too thick. Let me qualify what's next by saying that I am a classically trained chef... More

We loved it. We sat at the bar because we like interacting with the bartender. He was a class act- knowledgeable about the food and its origin, great at pairing the food with different speciality drinks or beers ( we didn't try the wine). We ate way too much because it was so good and we kept trying and finishing... More
