Saffron is a popular bakery and cafe in downtown Charleston on East Bay Street and near the Gaillard Center on Calhoun Street. Bring change with you since there are parking meters outside the restaurant. Some of our group had dined at Saffron for Happy Hour...More

We came for the dessert, but decided to eat a meal first. The hummus and pita was great - probably the best I have had in the US. I had a chicken salad croissant that was quite yummy as well. We ordered dessert to go...More

The food at Saffron is mediocre, not worth the stop. But if you have a sugar craving that won't stop, the bakery is excellent and the place to go to fix it.
