Despite the off-putting name, this was delicious! Good home cooking with an extremely friendly waitress. I had the fried chicken. It was juicy. My husband got the pot roast and like it. Their sides are varied and delicious. The Mac and cheese-yum. Green beans, grilled vegetables, black eyed peas and more!

This is a family-owned business that has grown from one location 35 years ago to 15 restaurants today. Their claim to fame is country cooking. The restaurant is open from 6AM to 9PM. Breakfast is served until 11:30 on weekdays, until noon on weekends. Decor is country charming. Our breakfasts consisted of a “build your own omelet” and the “hearty... More

Excellent breakfast. Lots of options. Health choices too. Plus the traditional southern home cooked ones too. Have the biscuits and skip the toast. The biscuits were very good. Excellent coffee. Excellent service.

Needed a place close to the hotel for the family to eat before my daughter's college graduation. Saw this place online and it seemed to get good reviews for southern cooking particularly their fried chicken. We got seated immediately, waitress was nice, food was delivered in about ten minutes. The fried chicken was swayed overcooked, the beans were lukewarm, and... More

Wanted some home cooking so though I'd try this place in spite of its name. Jennifer waited on me and I couldn't decide on the Cole slaw, so she brought me a sample. I had the fried chicken, potatoes and gravy, and the slaw. A veteran and his wife heard where I was from, after talking with the wait staff,... More

Vegetables have that canned taste and not good fresh that I would like. Not my favorite place to get vegetables which we need more of in the Columbia/lexington area

Had lunch with a group of 6 on Wed. We had great service and delicous food. I had white meat fried chicken with baby lima and green beans & cornbread and sweet tea. Everyone got something different and everyone was very happy with there meals. You never can go wrong with anything you get at the restaurant.
