Good option and not too pricey along with an array of menu choices. Would recommend for families as well as individuals

Located on the salt marsh, with outdoor seating weather permitting, quiet, reasonably priced, with an excellent menu. Ask for “Nate” when visiting, as we had both my Grandsons, and he catered to them. The Haddock Fish Fry, with clam cakes and white chowder, was just...what the doctor ordered.More
Great variety of seafood dishes, with many that can be made gluten free. Fantastic service and quiet setting overlooking the harbor. Definitely recommend!!
The food here is acceptable, not great. I had the lobster sandwich. It was okay. My partner had the clam chowder. It didn’t taste homemade and was quite thin. The fish sandwich was what you would expect. Great waiter.
Excellent food: margarita pizza, haddock fish sandwich, clam chowder.Only slight downside was the owner seem to be more amicable but with regulars. We were not greeted , however our server made up for hospitality! She checked on us twice, which was appreciated 😊 Heads up...on walking from parking lot if your ankles are weak. I twisted my ankle in the deep sand hole ( no injury occurred). Just be mindful walking to and fro from car. We did not get to try the bakery section, but it looked amazing.More
Stopped for lunch as we always do when in the area. Disappointed with food quality and service. Not-so-large stuffie was bland and possibly deep fried. Inflexible when asked to substitute pasta for baked potato. Little necks were good but sauce was more butter than clam...juice which detracted from the clams. Just sad that this is not the place it once was…More
Gorgeous location, great service, friendly atmosphere. Food is TERRIBLE, however. Had the raw bar sampler and lobster and little necks were inedible. Oysters have always been awesome and will return for these with drinks, which are excellent.
Service was great despite the labor shortage but the food was horrible. Worst whole belly clams I ever had in my life. Went here before about 4 years ago and had high hopes when deciding where we wanted to eat. All fried food, batter bigger...that the shrimp and fish. We shared a fisherman’s platter for $45 and any where else would have been $20 small plate based on amount of food for the price. Off out list forever.More
After a 3 hour drive along the coast of Southern Rhode Island, we checked out the village of Jerusalem, as it was around 1 PM, we were getting a bit hungry for lunch. We asked a local and he said "Not to miss Cap'n Jacks"...and are we glad we listened. This place is really great. We dined on the rea deck overlook the action of the harbor at Jerusalem. After ordering, we downed a glass of Stella draft and a Absolute and 7, our order came in good time, Madelyn dined on a Lobster Role, I had the Filet Steak Tip Grinder. Both were delicious and filled to the capacity with contents. So, we want to highly recommend this place to folks staying in the area.More
We moved to Rhode Island almost a year ago after 10 years in France and 4 in Pennsylania. My husband is an oyster fanatic and so we headed over, in our naivety, to a neighboring restaurant without reservations in the midst of Covid Lockdown. The...place was packed (who knew?) and we were turned away and so we continued down the road to Cap'n Jacks. We have since been back. Wonderful oysters, VERY local, GREAT service, no-fuss food, wonderful selection, and good taste and value. Oysters, stuffies, steamed mussels, little-neck clams, all delicious. Not sure we will bother with the place up Succotash Road, but we will certainly be back to Cap'n Jacks!More
Disgusting clam chowder, inedible crab cakes. Clam chowder was the co consistency of milk with he potatoes added. Crab cakes were tasteless. Captain Jack needs a new chef.
Captain Jack’s has been a go to for us over the years. It’s not top-notch but it’s not a dive. It’s kind of like going to a family dinner. The wait staff is very friendly and down to earth. Covid precautions were taken. The fish...and chips was very good and not too greasy. The fried scallops were delicious. The shrimp scampi is average. We weren’t a fan of the calamari appetizer. The desserts here are over the top. Check it out.More
Had dinner here on a recent Friday evening. Everything was fine (not great not bad). Service was OK. Clam cakes were terrible, just tasted like salt water. Fish sandwich was decent as was the burger. We had several much better meals in the few days...we were in areaMore
Reliable seafood offerings in both bar area and regular dining room; nice outside area in good weather with views of salt pond
We were invited to join friends here for lunch. This restaurant is 100 feet from the always overflowing Matunuck Oyster Bar. It was Beautiful day so we went with outside seating. The dining room inside had two tables a total of 6 people. The outside...patio had 3 other tables. Unbelievably EMPTY .I’m not a seafood person but everyone else in our party is. The service is beyond SLOW. There were at least 5 waitstaff standing around doing nothing. We started with drinks which took FOREVER to arrive. We ordered stuffed quahogs as appetizers and steamers. The Stuffies were ok. Everyone like the steamers. Again. The service was ridiculously slow. This place was empty. Two of us ordered chicken wraps. I didn’t like mine. It was heavy in the vinegar and the wrap was a stale piece of cardboard. The girls ordered lobster rolls which they enjoyed. For years. I wondered. How does this restaurant that has been here forever. Not get the overflow from the restaurant across the street. Question answered. Mediocre food and snail pace service. Honestly. Our table had an umbrella but we were completely exposed to the sun. Nice view of the marsh although 10 feet from the dumpster. But,come on how long does it take to make 4 drinks when you have No Customers. This review is more than fair. Initially I felt bad entering due to the Covid regulations and empty restaurant, but if you want business. Take care of the few people that come in.More
