Our family started coming here, in the 1940's. We still stop in at least once a summer. Sometimes, on a hot summer night, you just don't want to get dressed up. Perhaps, you're wet & sandy from the beach. This is the place to gravitate towards. Parking can be tough. It can get crowded n' crazy. If you're lucky, you... More

This a great place to get New England seafood. You can either sit in the hardwood floored dining room, with plenty of windows overlooking the sea and surrounding area, or just walk-up to the take out window. Nice variety of seafood dishes. There is also a outside grassy sitting area with comfortable chairs and outside picnic area. Ice cream is... More

It doesn't feel like summer until I get my fix of whole belly clams ... okay, it's still April, but this is the summeriest feeling day yet this year, and our thoughts turned to sand, surf, and seafood -- fried clams in particular. The best IMO is at Aunt Carrie's so that's where we headed for chowder and the lightest,... More

We have been going to Carries for years. It's food is always consistently good and reasonable. It is a hard place to find a table during the summer, but is well worth it. Surrounded by the ocean adds a real seaside experience. parking is always at a premium, but patience is a virtue. The servers are mostly locals so their... More

Good food, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere during your beach vacation. Something for everyone from burgers to lobster dinners. May I suggest a cup of clam chowder (red, white or clear) followed by their famous clam cakes, and strawberry shortcake! You can't beat it, just ask Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive Ins & Dives!

I have been going to Aunt Carrie's since I was a child -it never changes, which is good. Home.made cinnamon bread, homemade Indian pudding with whole belly fries, chowder and clam cakes in between never disappoints. We now get large plastic glass with iced tea instead of paper cups, which is nice. My partner had grilled scallops. The server was... More

Tried to see what this restaurant was all about...lots of history/talk. Very crowded but can't understand why. Food served warm, chowder tepid, fish overcooked, mushy. I must be missing something or just having a bad day. Never again. Too much good seafood in RI and better choices than here.

My girlfriend and I make a point of going to Aunt Carrie's for clamcakes at least once a year. If we didn't limit ourselves on fried foods, we would go more often based on how good they are. They are always a treat, well-prepared, lightly fried and as un-greasy as a clamcake can be. The contrast between the over-fried, soaked in... More

Been coming here since I was a kid. I go every summer now with my wife. I'd prefer this spot over Iggys any day. Hope they never leave!

All I can say is that the strawberry shortcake is amazing! Saw this place on Guy Fieri's "Triple D" Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I highly recommend Aunt Carrie's.
