My husband and I spent the day at Beavertail State park with our dog. We headed off for dinner at Fish, once again. The dog likes to sit on the patio and enjoys the attention he receives from both the servers and the guests. (He is a pretty cute and friendly dog, says me- his mamma) The one downside is... More

Arrived for our Rez at 1 pm- no one in the place! Assuming because season has not begun as we enjoyed a well cooked, well presented lovely brunch!!! The dining room is adorable and very very well maintained, service was excellent and coffee delish!!! Both the Pain Perdu and the omelet were enjoyed. We will return when patio is open!

Top restaurant for fish and shellfish in Rhode Island. With boating season almost here, we went to Fish in Jamestown, RI (greater Newport, RI area) this time by car. Everything was executed perfectly. Emily our waitress was attentive and super pleasant. Matthew the chef make this place extra special. Don't miss this gem if you are visiting the Newport area... This is a small place in a touristy part of town. Right off the pier. Inside looks clean and modern. Ambiance is nice. Waitstaff consists of two waiters and the hostess and one busboy. The menu is small and pricey. We knew this when we made the reservations. We figured that we at least try the place and it may... More

What a wonderful place! We heard about this restaurant and wanted to visit it for a while. Finally we visited it last Friday. It was 4 of us. We came for the last day of Newport Spring Restaurant week. We were seated downstairs. Fireplace was a nice touch. The menu was very extensive, so many different and more important interesting... We went for April 2017 restaurant week. The three course meal was excellent but the choice of wine was a problem. Selected was a Pino Grigio for $48. It did not have a label but rather a tag and the top was neither a cork or a screw top. It was opened with a bottle opener. The color was also... More

My wife and I enjoy the many outstanding restaurants that Rhode Island has to offer , an we are fortunate to live in a state that has the best seafood in the US. That said, the ingredients are just the start, the preparation is of course the thing. Mathew macCartney is a superbly talented chef and host . His preparation... More

FISH is like no other restaurant in New England. When the weather's warm you can sit out on a large open patio and enjoy designer pizzas made in the oven right on the spot. The small bar on the second floor is more of a local secret. As you walk up the stairs a view of the Newport Bridge seems... More

This is a great spot, especially on a quiet winter Sunday morning in Jamestown (then again every winter Sunday morning on Jamestown is quiet). The atmosphere is understated and relaxed, the menu has something for everyone, the food is truly wonderful, and the service is professional. Thought the seafood stew was especially exceptional. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we had... More

I found the food fussy and the servings portions small. The service slow and inattentive. I have eaten down stairs and in the bar area upstairs. Twice upstairs I thought the bar tender and the wait staff forgot about us. The seafood sausage years ago was smelly and the linguini and clams was no different that what I could make... More
