We saw this place in Trip Advisor so a 2 hour drive on a nice day ends with a super BBQ dinner. People were very friendly, answered any questions and then brought out some really great BBQ. There sauce is outstanding, not all vinegar, the smoke on the meat was just right, Wife had the Big Daddy Sampler, go hungry... More

This was at least our third stop at Gio's. It is a barbecue joint, but we come for the catfish - light and crisp, fried just right. The sides are stellar - homemade BBQ Baked Beans, sweet and tangy with sausage and bits of meat, spaghetti, creamy potato salad, spaghetti salad, and even haluski along with the usual fries, coleslaw,... My wife and I pass through the area frequently and have stopped at Gio's at least ten times. We started with the ribs and pulled pork, both excellent. Recently though we have move on to the fried catfish sandwich. The piece of fish is huge, perfectly cooked and lightly breaded. We have never had anything at Gio's we didn't love.... More

We have been coming here for a while. They have good food and easy truck parking. Subs are wonderful and they have haluski!

Homemade food at great prices, this is a terrific place to stop when you just don't want to cook or if you're traveling and need to take a break.

Kept seeing their signs on Route 80 but it was never a good time. Finally the other day it was 10:30am so we stopped. The "mountain of pork" sandwich I had was superb. Smoky but not overpowering, great flavor. My daughter's brisket sandwich was good but maybe we were too early in the day as it was a tad tougher... More

After passing by several times taking my daughter to and from State College, PA., I needed a bite to eat and decided to try some BBQ. I had the brisket sandwich and small fries. The sandwich was pretty good as well as the fries. Both ample portions for the price. The brisket was flat cut and sliced thin. I could... More

We stopped at Gio's the other day to eat and the food was excellent. Between us all we had tried the ribs, bbq pulled pork, beef brisket and the smoked sausage. All of it was great. I would recommend you stopping in for some excellent bbq.

It's off I-80 a bit worth the stop. Good BBC in a rustic setting. Great people working here... The one catch is the drinks from the convenience store.
