In fact, the prices are from the 1960's. The owners stand to raise the price of virtually every meal so they can afford some much needed updates to the facility and still clearly be the best deal in town for a meal. Our portions and sides were greatly filling, enjoyable, and well presented. Service was attentive and regular. My wife... More

The restaurant is old and needs a good scrubbing but the omelettes are great and so are the prices. Doesn't seem busy later in the day so I think most locals know breakfast is the time to go.

We had a great lunch one day and breakfast another day. They have scrapple. A real down home type of diner. Don't let the outside fool you. Our waitress was nice and courteous. Our breakfast was served in minutes and it was busy!! My only recommendation is they need updates to their bathrooms.

It was still dark as we made our way south through PA, the second leg of a four-day trip. We'd beein on the road for an hour and breakfast seemed like a good idea. Was this little restaurant really open at 5:30 a.m.? It was, and we were welcomed and ushered into a nice clean booth and handed menus. My... More

Stopped here for a quick bite. I had been here a year or so ago but don't remember it being quite this bad. The place seems to have gotten more rundown but I figure ok I'll play it safe and get a grilled cheese and fries, what damage can they do right? Ok the guy cooking is a skinny little... More

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch- we are not familar with the area and decided to try Potsville Diner. This is a small place with booths and counter stools. They have a returning local clientele who are known by the employees. Our waitress was very friendly and observant. I ordered a calf liver and onion special- tender and covered... More

Basic food. Slow service. Low prices. Not much to say good about the place. Really not a great place for the family.

Wow! About as bad as bad gets. Dirty, greasy place with a staff that could care less. How they are/stay in business is beyond me. Trust me, stay away from this diner.

I had my "breakfast" dinner at this diner while on business in Pottsville, or should I say Hooterville. A true no frills diner, nothing fancy her. Food was ok, very very modestly priced.

Though we arrived at the Pottsville Diner in the afternoon, breakfast is served all day. I had one of the best omelets ever! Their hash browns are not grated like in the South, but were very delicious. The portions were very generous. The waitress had been there a long time and was proficient and friendly. There weren't many people in... More
