My husband surprised me with a date night at the lovely cafe. We started with the goat cheese appetizer. Warm and yummy. I had the salmon and my husband the veal. Neither of us were disappointed. Also a byob which is perfect for us. Great evening.

BYOB CASH Only restaurant with a legendary chef (Tony Pais) and a friendly staff. We came here especially for the tomato bisque and Dover sole .Other dishes are very good too ( crab cake , Portuguese sausage , duck breast ). This is a place we come to relax and enjoy comfort food.

Tony is the chef and cooks incredible meals. We see so many of the same guests returning each week, much like us and our friends. This is a hidden treasure in Shadyside. Don't miss it. BYOB. And eat outside in the summer. Cozy fun neighborhood restaurant with excellent cuisine.

Visited last night after several months away and it was just as good as ever. The owner/chef Tony Pais is one of Pittsburgh original great chefs and the food doesn't disappoint. The menu has a Portuguese flair. One of the specials was a pork osso bucco that was phenomenal as was the beef tenderloin with a green pepper sauce. The... More

Lovely food, great ambiance! Try the sardines, there are delicious! Service was nice as well. It's a BYOB place.

The food was okay, but nothing special. Even recognizing that the atmosphere is intentionally funky, there is no excuse for the waitress to be so sloppily dressed--it looked like she pulled on her (old and worn) workout clothes from the night before. Prices high for the mediocre food.

Cafe Zinho is a funky neighborhood eatery. One of Pittsburgh's top chefs creates great food- delicious gazpacho, tasty tomato bisque and calamari for starters. Mains- sautéed softshell crabs, rack of lamb, branzino- all perfectly prepared. Had room for creme brûlée for dessert! BYOB allows you to enjoy your favorite wines. Service is attentive and timely. Cafe Z is hard to... More

This is an authentic, locally owned, Portuguese restaurant. They let you bring in your own bottle of wine. The food is excellent! Service, good! Atmosphere, fun, funky, casual. The place is small, so get there early or plan on a wait on the weekend.

we dined at Zinho on a friday evening. The service was great: attentive, professional and super friendly. Seating was very comfortable. Food was excellent. We had some Branzino fish, a lamb burger, a filet mignon burger and a couple of fish dishes. They split the bill into four separate checks. Will definitely return. Great job!

Just a delicious and fun time. The fish was amazing, it is a BYOB location and they were very accommodating and helpful.
