My husband loves this place for some reason which is the only reason I eat here. The pizza is quite average at best..sauce and crust are pretty tasteless in my opinion. I did find one pizza that has at least some flavor..the one with anchovies on it. Their salads arent too bad..try the insalata rustica..it has prosciutto and artichokes on... More

I ordered the Primavera pizza and was shocked at how little cheese was actually on it. Some people may like this type of pizza, but I'm not one of them. I expect my pizza to be covered with cheese but this had small pieces of mozzarella scattered around.

This is a taste of real Italy in Pittsburgh. Excellent thin crust pizza & the best gelato that we've found in Pittsburgh. Actually, some of the best gelati we've had anywhere. Small seating area with a large walk in gelato trade.

We visited with our family of four and split two pizzas. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas. We had gelato for dessert, which was delicious.

We really enjoyed our lunch of pizza and salad, two of us shared the pizza and salad. We chose the bread salad (forgot the Italian name) and then splurged on gelato which is sold by the ounce so you can buy a small amount. We enjoyed it all, for me especially the salad, and the service was fine. Only downside... More

I am not to sure about this one. It was a very nice looking restaurant, clean and great location in Shadyside. Lots of fun shopping around. The restaurant really needed music . Felt like you should be listening to italian music.Staff was pleasant. I had the margarita pizza. Very little toppings. All I could smell was charcoal from the very... More

Great restaurant in Pittsburgh. The pizzas are wonderful, but you really can't go wrong. Be sure to try the gelato!

Mercurio's is a small pizzeria that serves up authentic Italian pizza. Lots of interesting combinations. We were very pleased with the pizza and salad. Portions are large enough to split.

My family eats here frequently. When we returned to Pittsburgh after spending a month in the Campagna region of Italy in 2009, our family longed for the taste of real Neapolitan pizza. Thank you Michael for mastering this great art and sharing it with us back home! If you have every been to Italy and fallen in love with vera... More

We only came for gelato but they were out of just about everything. I tried a dish of a less than favorite flavor and it was good. But I could not get what I came for.
