This is a fairly reasonable, yet quality fish place. They used to only be open only in the afternoons. So we have been very pleased to find that Weds-Sat( (I'm not sure about Sunday) they are open till 8 pm. The dec or is sparse, but modern. The fish is delicious.

The Penn Avenue Fish Company spun out of Wholey's Market, formerly the primary place in Pittsburgh where people bought fish. As Wholey's became stale and it became more of food market, the quality of the food declined and has remained low. Penn Avenue Fish Company took it's place as the premier place to by fish in Pittsburgh as a couple... More

After craving a fresh and healthy meal in Pittsburgh for several days, I stumbled upon this absolute gem. I had a salmon salad, and could not have been more impressed. The salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked, the salad was varied and plentiful, the dressing was tangy and nicely complemented the salad. Couldn't fault a thing about this place, and... More

This was my first visit here. They offer a soup bar that has 4 different selections. They offer a large selection of fish sandwiches and tacos. I will definitely return to this restaurant. There is so much more on the menu that I want to try.

We have all had the Fish Sandwich, a big fried cod in a big bun. BUT Penn Ave Fish has the best fish sandwiches. Fresh variety of fish on a variety of breads with great fresh sides. Healthy and tasty.

I visit the Strip especially to purchase the smoked Salmon at this market. The fresh factor of this establishment is excellent. I have had the sushi and salads for lunch and entrees for dinner for in store dining and it is fresh and served by friendly staff. Staff friendly and always efficient.
