Dor-Stop may have been featured on the Food Network but we go as locals because they have the most incredible cake-like pancakes in town! We would also never miss the Jumbot egg scramble. You will get no nonsense service, your elbows might stick to the table and you might bump shoulders with the neighboring guests, but it will be worth... More

This place became a favorite of ours a few years ago. My husband searched for Mom and Pop type places. This place did not disappoint. We travel to Pittsburgh every year for my daughters dance and we always make this a priority to stop in. Absolutely THE BEST FRENCH TOAST EVER!!!

We were in town for a Pens game and based on reviews we looked forward to trying this place for a Saturday morning breakfast. Took about 2 minutes to get seated (no one else in line) but we were greeted so all was fine. Not that busy. Sat there waiting and ignored as another couple got seated next to us.... More

Pittsburgh held onto streetcars until like that crazy Jerry Garcia tie in your closet, they just became fashionable again. The Dor-Stop is named after the Dormont stop of the Pittsburgh streetcar line which for you snobs is now called light rail. Just streetcars to us. The Dor-Stop is one of those wonderful little places where you might have to wait... More

Dor-stop has built a reputation on having unique breakfasts and lunches. Have been a customer through one relocation and two owners and the style (home cooking with specialty offerings) has carried over. Dor-Stop has always had prompt attentive setvice. Still worth a visit!

My husband and I usually eat at Food Network's Guy Fieri's/Adam Richmond's stops. In fact, most of our vacations are centered around food :) So, the Dor-Stop restaurant is hands down, the best place for blueberry pancakes! You definitely cannot stop at eating just one hotcake! Get there early, otherwise you will have to stand outside in line. The interior... More

Even though new owners, I've been told, great family breakfast. Short wait for 6 people, once seated, great service, waitress was friendly and efficient, trying to get 2 grandmas away from table at end so others could be seated was challenging. Snuck waitress additional tip in apology. Not sure how generous Gram was, lol.

Dor Stop is a good coffee shop in Dormont but be forwarded if you try getting in on a Sunday. To start street parking is a bear, then you need to make sure everyone in your party is present before the put you on the list and it's tight quarters. Once seated, the food is very good and the shop... More

Fresh, home cooking style with super staff. Our favorite breakfast spot for over 25 years. Bakery bread, real home fries, specials and amazing pancakes and French toast treats
