North East is lucky to have such a great coffee house, one that would not be out of place in the big city. Funky vibe, great coffee, great music, and terrific food. A wonderful place to hang out with your laptop and linger over your coffee. Since changing ownership and becoming The Bean it's even better than it was. I... More

Very inviting café, with friendly and efficient staff! The new owner, Tamara, has created such a warm and inspirational atmosphere, and the café is also very clean. My husband, sister, bro-in-law and I were looking for a place to have a light lunch and coffee, and we were delighted to discover "The Bean". We enjoyed the yummy soups, quiche, and... More

It was the Boston Bean or Tim Horton's and boy were we glad we decided on the Boston Bean. It is a great college cafe with exposed brickwork and tin ceilings. We ordered two drip coffees, a breakfast sandwich, a quiche, and a chocolate chunk cookie for lunch. The breakfast sandwich was excellent - sausage, egg, and cheese on a... More

Great environment with clean and modern look, super friendly staff and quick service, a notch up from Starbucks and Panera. It's a nice place to meet with friends. As to practical value, bill of the meal is a bit larger than the portion. One side note: if you have a restaurant.com coupon under The Boston Bean Cafe, it's invalid with... More

Now called The Bean, new owners reopened the restaurant on September 8, 2016. The turkey and cheddar panini was delicious and the new owners redecorated well. The hours are restricted to breakfast, lunch and early afternoon, but it is definitely a place to try. PS- the cookies are amazing!

Stopped here on our way home from Niagara Falls. The potato soup, club sandwich, and hot chocolate are wonderful. Fast, friendly service. Clean restrooms.

We have been patrons of the location over the years but recently it changed hands. What stood out was the poor quality of food. The clam chowder must have been from a can. The Rueben sandwich I had was mediocre, at best.My wife's sandwich, part of a half & half was so little it almost got lost on the plate.... More

I love this cafe!! They carry my favorite chai, and the owner is super nice! The layout is also great, with a small upstairs loft-y area. Just wish a) the music weren't so loud - it's hard to read and write and have a conversation with a friend - you know cafe stuff! - and b) they stayed open later.... More
