This restaurant has been an icon in Mt. Carmel for as long as I can remember. 50+ years. Unique Italian dishes, reasonably priced. Restaurant is small and usually overbooked.

We stopped at Mattucci's for lunch because my husband grew up in the area and had fond memories of their food. Our experience: memory is better than reality. We arrived at 1:45 and there were only 2 tables occupied. Jason, the bartender, was friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, his performance couldn't make up for the very slow kitchen. What? Two tables... More

I had good memories of this restaurant as a child visiting grandparents so when we had occasion to be in this area again, we stopped for a meal. Surprisingly, the food is still good. The pizza is as I remembered and very good. Our club sandwiches and the wedding soup were good also. However, the restaurant's dark atmosphere caused by... More

This use to be an excellent restaurant, however, tonight it was not. Do NOT order the meat ravioli, it has a very bad taste, guessing it was a spice? Not sure. I couldn't even swallow it. The meatball was just ok, no spice to speak of. This was probably our last trip.

Environment - My wife and I were driving through the town trying to find a restaurant off the beaten path and local when we were directed to this restaurant by someone in town. It's in the basement of a building with a bar in front that almost made us turn away as we were not looking for a bar scene,... More

Last week several of us went to Matucci's for our birthday dinner. The food was terrific as was the service. We had escargot and clams casino for appetizers. Two of us had veal dishes and a third had trout stuffed with crab and shrimp. All of these were outstanding. As usual, Jason the bartender, went out of his way to... More

We recently had a small party utilizing their back private room. The room fit 35 people comfortably and was decorated and ready for us when we arrived. The service was wonderful and they allowed each family to order directly from their full dinner menu. The food was out quickly and was delicious! We did not have to pay a fee... More

My best friend and I recently had an early dinner at Mattucci's. I had veal Peter (veal with mushrooms and shrimp) and my friend had cheese ravioli. The portions were huge and the food was fantastic. The bartender, Jason, was extremely attentive and made us delicious mixed drinks. Although it was very busy for 2 o'clock in the afternoon, once... More

We went here with family. We had a group of 7 and had reservations. When we arrived our table was ready & they seated us immediately. Our waitress took care of us & was very friendly. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the various things that were ordered. The portions are quite large so we all ended up with... More
