my daughter heard of this place from her HS German teacher, located in a small home on a busy road, small selection of German prepackaged items for sale, and a small area with a few tables, very casual/rustic, BYOB, limited menu, limited staff, it was Saturday mid afternoon but they had run out of schnitzel, everything was good, pork roast... We stopped here for lunch on a weekday and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The Jaegerschnitzel was excellent, the Sauerbraten was too sour for our taste, red cabbage was excellent. Overall we enjoyed our lunch here and it was nice to be able to get a German meal!

Stopped here today for lunch. Not much to look at from the outside, but if you crave some very good German food give this place a try. Friendly help.

Got here at 6:15 pm. Parking lot is gravel and needs some stones - many large pot holes - so be careful. The entrance is on the west side of the building. Very homey feel to the place with german accents everywhere. Love that someone painted accents everywhere - a bird sitting on a picture, vines coming out of pictures.... More

Been coming here since I have been a kid. This is a great restaurant that still has that small town feel. Don't miss a chance to eat at the best place in mechanicsburg. I recommend the bratwurst!

A German treasure here in Mechanicsburg. The food is always delicious and the service wonderful. Tried the Jaegerschnitzel and fresh pork roast over spaetzle today (the owner talked me in to it ;) ) and we were not disappointed. Love the items for sale in the store, also. Can't wait to bring family to try :) .

Cozy house that has been converted into a resturant. Service was extremely friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. If I lived closer this would be a weekly stop for me.

We have been going here for several years... a rare find for authentic German cooking. Family run, the pride in their food and service comes though. It's small, the decor is, well... limited, but that's not why we come. The food is out of this world. Highly recommended.

If you love German food, this place is for you. It's like eating in someone's dining room in their home. We have been to Germany and Josie's took us back.

We are German food lovers and have tried lots of authentic German restaurants around the country and this place is amazing! The jagerschnitzel is indescribable and the apple strudel is worth a trip from Detroit on its own! Not to mention the guys working there are extremely friendly and its a family owned, welcoming atmosphere.
