Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On this recent trip to Woy Woy from the UK we have been 3 times to Gnostic. The menu is unbelievable.. full of so many healthy and delicious choices. The food is super fresh and plentiful. We've been for lunch, brunch and morning coffee *with...cake* and it has been 5 🌟 every time. Note too the super loo facilities. Will definitely be back. Hoping to squeeze in one more visit before the flight homeMore

So disappointed with our experience at this restaurant which was overpriced and food underwhelming - despite paying in advance for our meals only half of what we ordered was delivered e.g eggs on toast arrived without eggs and one small slice of unbuttered untoasted bread....We were charged $13 for 1 slice of bread. An appalling, disappointing experienceMore

We used to love driving here from Sydney and eating their delish soft and crunchy scones and other offerings. Now wouldn't bother, with new owners and negative ratings for their fried/burger type menu and service since they took over.

Omg, so I went with a friend, she’d been helping me a lot and we wanted to buy some Ishka oils but having seen the reviews about Ishka thought we’d go local, shop was very pleasant to look at, but I paid nearly $80 for...4 oils and you can’t smell them 5 minutes after you put them on, what a big RIP OFF. I’m so furious, I don’t have $80 to spend and waste and I’m still stuck with these horrible oils that last not even minutes. If you want Essential Oils don’t go to Gnostic, go elsewhere, you’ll be wasting your moneyMore

Stopped after a bike ride for a burger and steak sandwich with my son. The burger was the worse thing I have ever seen. The cook either has had no training or is beyond caring. The chicken was the most dehydrated sorry piece of chook...I have ever seen. It was more suitable as a door stopper. The thing is, it doesn't take much to throw a chicken burger together. My 7-year-old daughter could have done a much better job, and I say that without exaggerating. The fries weren't seasoned, and they were arranged as if the 'Michelin star chef' had grabbed a handful and tossed them on the plate. A little care mate, that's all, just show the customer that cares about the food, but no, beyond that point I suspect. Finally, the wait staff and particularly the lady with the dyed hair. You are in hospitality so a smile and some social skills would be nice. Doesn't take much, just a little effort. In summary, this place was quite nice a year ago.... not the same and best avoided.More

My partner and I had breakfast here as it was close to where we were staying and we were drawn to the 'gnostic' vibe. the breakfast was decent, a vegan 'turkish' roll and a berry smoothie. Although I asked for no onion and got onion...and the roll was small, all came to over $50. Felt incredibly steep for what they were offering. A decent place, and fast service but would choose another over it.More

Have been going here for a couple of years now, haven't thought of writing a review till now. Me and my girlfriend love the customer service and have befriended some of the staff. We usually order large fries and jumbo bacon and egg rolls. The...roll tastes nice however it is VERY oily. The fries are also nice but the sizing is inconsistent. Sometimes we get a big bowl of chips and sometimes we get hardly any. The restaurant itself is very nice.More

We had taken a ferry ride and arrived back quite late but were able to have something to eat before the kitchen closed. I had the Vegan Turkish Breaky Roll. It was really yum with a portobello mushroom, onion, spinach, pumpkin, avocado, mayo and a...hash brown. All my friends had wraps with chips and they were all very happy. Would definitely come back here.More

We stopped for lunch on our way up North with our very rambunctious Staffy Pup to have his first cafe experience. It was very busy when we arrived and we weren’t sure how long Spud would behave but we were greeted almost immediately by such...warm and friendly staff who made us feel comfortable. Spud loved his special attention with water and treats, which he promptly spilt everywhere in his excitement. We ordered a Caesar wrap and it was delivered promptly and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The Jaffa cake (yum) and coffee (delicious) made this first experience unforgettable. We can’t wait till we are up that way again. Thank you to the wonderful staff for creating a happy, warm and professional atmosphere, making us feel so welcome. Watching the staff at such a busy time I noticed that they worked independently yet efficiently in order to provide a great service as a wonderful team.More

I hate leaving bad reviews, but if I can save someone else the bad experience, then so be it. Just as others have experienced, the coffee girls were very rude and unpleasant. I felt bad for asking for service. Food arrived, my partners eggs in...the Eggs Benedict were not cooked. Sent them back. My food arrived, ordered the big breakfast with all the bits including sour dough toast. Mine arrived cold, and with Coles sliced bread with margarine. Then, unbelievably, my sausage was raw in the middle. The scrambled eggs were a burnt omelet. Probably the worst breakfast experience I've ever had. That's saying something, as I have travelled the world. The reason we want in, is it was fairly busy earlier that day. Usually a good indication of a nice place to eat. How wrong can you be. Honestly, the worst part was the attitude of the girls behind the counter. I sincerely hope the owners read some of these reviews, and take them seriously.More

I used to come here all the time but since the new owners have taken over they have run the place into the ground. Few of the staff members were extremely rude. I was greeted by a girl on the coffee machine with a sour...look and wasn’t very pleasant and made our family feel uncomfortable. We come all the way from Sydney for the weekend and expect better services. We won’t be coming back and won’t be telling any of our friends to visit either.More
