We camped in the beautiful grounds of the Tavern, in our caravan, and it was delightful. Very peaceful, with plenty of space, and our dog was allowed. Camping is free of charge, but there is no power or water, and ALL rubbish must be removed. The conditions of camping are no BYO alcohol, and you have to spend some money... More

Great pub " I love older style, pubs with a bit of character, which this has plenty!!" Food was great and cheap $10.50 for a works burger.

Notice I said great day ride with the boys. If you're after a romantic little lunch in the country you've come to the wrong spot; head to Pokolbin Princess. Great country pub with ice cold beer and real pub food. Great atmosphere and plenty of other bikers to have a chat to around the outside verandah. Oh, and the Two-Up... More

Our family stayed at the Wollombi Tavern for a wedding near by. We were all disappointed at the state of the cabins. The floors were filthy which we had to vacuum ourselves so the kids could play on the ground. There was grime and dirt on the benches and blinds which had been there for way too long. The kitchen... We were looking forward to a traditional pub dinner but were very disappointed. Will think twice about ever visiting again! What a shame as the pub has great atmosphere and potential to be a real winner!

I know this is meant to be a historic pub but some areas could be modernism. A bit of stainless steel in the kitchen/food area and some control of the 500 million flies would be great. The toilets are disgusting. They need to be ripped out and redone. Service was incredibly slow. an hour for 3 burgers and a plate... More

Awesome place to visit, amazing history behind this place. Very interesting well worth a trip out here. Amazing down to earth good vibe atmosphere.. very relaxing, the bar is abit pricy to what we are used to though paid $7.20 for a schooner but the views and fresh air was well worth it

Called in for lunch and a beer on the way home. Food and beer are fine - if a little expensive - can't say that for the rest of the place though. Grass is unmown, tables falling down and in some places chocked with rocks to hold it up. Umbrellas are shredded from being in the weather, so no shade.... More

We stayed here overnight on a campervan trip heading north. The Tavern has a lovely field at the back where you can pitch up and use of the toilet block all for nothing! The tavern is as you would imagine in a small hamlet is frequented mainly by locals and most of them have tale to tell. We had ice... More

Tired, neglected and so in need of some maintenance. Sat under a dodgy umbrella in the long grass on a broken picnic table next to the soggy remains of someone's meal from a previous visit. All the while thinking that the profits from the $4.50 that they charge for a can of coke are clearly not being spent on maintenance.... More
