We stopped in West Wyalong on the way up North and ate the Paragon Cafe. It was a delightful meal, with a nice glass of red. As someone with Coeliac Disease I need to be extremely careful with gluten free food and the Paragon Cafe had gluten free options and I really enjoyed my meal. It was really delicious.

Great food. Fresh bun and excellent burger with the lot and fish burger. Loved that you sold organic/sustainable and local products also to support the local community. Friendly service and highly recommend the food.

Very very average sausage roll, reheated in microwave, small squeeze sauce $7 (if you’ve been to Goomeri Bakery, it was about 1/3 their size and tasteless). Sandwich was freshly made in cabinet, again no price showing. All up $16.50, can’t imagine what it would be to feed a small family - it they had no competition. Drive on to next town.

Here for work with colleagues, have had better for half the price from just about any other cafe. The food was particularly disappointing. When we expressed surprise at the price one of the women became rude and rather obnoxious. Kept going on about reading the menu! Absolutely pathetic effort from someone in the hospitality business. The other, older woman had seem to be rather sorry, thou customer service earlier in the piece, was not great. There is a real don't care about the customer who are paying for the food attitude about the place. This cafe does not deserve your business. Avoid.

This is an institution in West Wyalong. I read about it and had to see it. It serves all of your traditional foods, but it's more than being just about the food... it is like stepping back in time. The key to it's uniqueness is it's ties to the past. I wandered in and it reminded me of a cafe I used to visit in my youth in Swan Hill... it has that aura of yesteryear. I had their pumpkin soup and took a coffee away with me. The pumpkin soup was different to any I had ever eaten.... but it was so luscious. I had the fortune that the owner took time to chat to me and she told me that they used coconut cream in it....lactose free pumpkin soup ! OMG no wonder I was in heaven. Make this part of your West Wyalong experience if you are feeling nostalgic about your childhood. Or just make it part of your experience because it has great food.

Our family had a terrible light lunch with some soft drinks at this place for 2 adults and 3 small children and it cost nearly $100. When we asked for some tomato sauce to go with the burger & chips they tried to change us an extra $1.50!! We also had a quinoa salad that was tiny! This is not a 4.5 star establishment! Avoid at all costs!
