Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gorgeous location, great food. We had fish and chips which were delicious - crisp light batter, fresh tasty fish - well done considering it was a busy Easter weekend! However, young staff could do with some hospitality training and had a bit of a 'chip...on the shoulder' - they kept returning to take plates and cutlery even though we were still eating. Their attitude took away from an otherwise great experience.More

This spot has terrific views. It's very laid back. Access is by a long ramp or steep stairs, which can be a problem for oldies. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. However, the fish and chips are not as good as they used to...be. I think the burgers would be a better bet. The whole place needs a lick of paint and a tidy-up. Meals are not expensive.More

Great place to drop in for lunch. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. First grab a table then place your order. I ordered the salt and pepper squid and that is a very good serve for the price. Tender and tasty and teamed up with a...pear cider.More

The ambiance is a given 5 star treat on the waters edge. We are locals and we have become more impressed with quality and consistency of the food output. They also cater very well for gluten free options, which we need. Their burgers are a...real meal, try with the lot, that are full of fresh ingredients. The deep fried options are crisp and not soggy. The specials, including fresh flathead tails and prawns (with no preservative) are a treat.More

This is a really cool place for dinner. We did not have lunch here. We presume it will be similar. After a long drive we arrived in Tuoss Head and found the Boatshed & cafe open and ready to take our orders for dinner. Delicious...Fish & Chips. Wine in little bottles! Its a relaxed place to sit and relax. Staff freindly and helpful. We can reccomend this place. Absolutely value for money.More

Very pretty place to sit and watch the water but coffee was expensive ($6) and weak and tasteless. Muffins and slices $7. I didn’t try the food

Sadly this business does not update its online opening times. Having enjoyed great fish and chips at this lovely location, we checked online that it closed at 4pm on this day and planned our day around late afternoon fish and chips. But.. it was closed....May be best to call re opening times before planning a meal there.More

We ordered takeaway on Anzac Day and although they were closing at 1pm they were more than happy for us to pick up our food at that time. We ordered the gluten free grilled fish and chips which was so tasty, especially with their homemade...tartare sauce. Would definitely recommend!More

Simply a watered-down version of a flat white. The food offerings were not enticing at all so did not eat there. The coffee may as well have been water and milk. Sad because this could be so much better. The way it is now it...is a tourist trap cafe'More

Ordered over the phone…then upon arrival to pickup was told part of order hadn’t gone through and would need to wait another 30 minutes. That was just as someone else’s appeared out of the kitchen with that part of the order. Some items weren’t in...the order bag and we had to ask again for them to rectify before leaving. After getting home we realised more items were missing. After ringing back we were told we could come and collect missing items, but no offer of anything extra…pretty ordinary for the overall price. Furthermore we were charged a public holiday surcharge and it wasn’t a public holiday.More

We had a very relaxing lunch with the waters lapping the decking, on an overcast day. Oysters, burgers beer wine even a decent coffee while watching an almost vacant waterway populated by eager local seagulls hoping to pinch leftovers. Sorry fellows food was too good...and not for the birds. Smiling service topped off an enjoyable time by the botched.More
