Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely setting. Group of 12 for my birthday. Service extremely poor. Food size and price too expensive for a club. One had steak $46 for Porterhouse and sent it back as it was medium well done instead of medium rare. $14 for a very small...bowl of chips. Over $22 for flatbread with white bean . Small serving of fish meal and lamb dish. Live locally but prices for size of meals is a let down for us. Poor service staff still. Sorry, we won't be back.More

Premature opening Look, the food has decidedly improved from the yacht club days of old. But that’s the only real visible change based on our visit last night. The facility needs a serious face-lift - the toilets are still smelly and moldy, the level of...service was woeful, and having to get up and buy your own drinks from the bar is not what you expect on a nice night out. Our table had fish of the day, spaghetti vongole and a vegetarian salad (which was forgotten initially). We ordered 10 minutes or so after being seated but were not brought our meals for over an hour later. Not impressed. Clearly someone needs to take bookings in a staggered fashion. That’s basic restauranting 101. We asked to look at the menus to share a couple desserts after, but the server never returned to take Our order so we left. Disappointing. The bar needs a better assort of spirits. When I asked what gins they had and was met with “Gordon’s”, I was gobsmacked. One average gin when there are hundreds of wonderful gins (and other Australian made spirits) is not a logical match for the quality and price of Emerson’s food. I felt like I was getting Uber Eats from a 5 star restaurant at a park picnic table with my box of wine. All the pieces aren’t fitting together. But the food is the shining star. Can they lift all the other elements?More

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our Wedding Reception for 40 people at Emerson’s on the Lake at Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto (new location, new menu). We booked several big tables, and preordered 40 Main meals the week prior - listing guests...name/ dietary needs/ chosen dish - which we recommend (and really helped with kitchen planning). The kitchen and waitstaff were warm, polite, and EXTREMELY well organised. (The Yacht Club Staff and patrons were all very friendly and welcoming too). Our event flowed seamlessly and smoothly. They were professional in handling every guests meal, especially as half our guests had special dietary requirements - children’s meals, vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free. (Thank you!!) The meals tasted REALLY good, portion sizes were filling, pricing was very good, and meal presentations were spot on. All guests were very happy with their meals, the service, the atmosphere and the incredible views. Emerson’s on the Lake is definitely “A Foodies Dream”. It has become our new favourite restaurant and we will definitely become regulars here. It is so precious to us that we can go back and eat at the place we had our wedding reception. We are recommending Emerson’s to everyone we know. A big thank you to Emerson, Kelly, Alex and all the staff for making our day special. We wish you great success in your new location. See you again soon.❤️More

Absolutely love Emersons! As a local we have been many times and it never disappoints. Having just been with a group of friends, I felt I had to post a review as we had such a fabulous evening! The food is beautifully prepared, full of...flavour and locally sourced. Emerson is very talented. Several dietary requirements were catered for and everyone loved their dishes. The staff were excellent, not easy to manage a large group outside and several individual tables inside, but they were so efficient and friendly. A must try!More

We had a fantastic night. Food variety and quality was excellent and service was outstanding. The relaxed casual atmosphere is perfect for a large group. The cauliflower is the best.

I went to Emerson's with a group of friends in December and the experience was brilliant. As a vegetarian, it is often hard to find great food, Emerson created delicious options and my food was great. The non-vegetarians said their food was fantastic too. We...enjoyed the food, wine, and great service. We'll be back for sure!More

We recently had a large group dinner at Emersons & our rowdy group had the deck all to ourselves. We had the 5 course banquet & every single dish was amazing. OMG that Chicken Karaage is just soooo good as was the lamb koftas, Bangalow...Pork cutlet, mushroom risotto & don't miss the roasted cauliflower. Great value & there was so much food we couldn't finish it. The staff were just lovely - thanks Kelly :) Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!!More

We have been going to Emersons for years now and happy to say this our "go to" place. Such a wonderful talented chef and awesome staff who never fail to deliver. Often, we call last minute to book and its never an issue to accommodate...us. The food is varied and super tasty and we always leave with full bellys and happy faces. As a local Lovedale family, we couldnt recommend Emersons more highly!More

This place is great if you are happy to pay very high price for very basic food Pub grub. Based on all the other restaurants in the area this place offers very little. The food online was completely different to what was offered and provided...on the menu. Each dish that we had was just a protein covered in oil with no sign of anything else, veg, sauces or otherwise. We paid $42 for garlic prawns sold as a main dish, nothing else on the plate just basic pre packed prawns in oil, this was just really a big let down, as I would regard this as overly large pub starter. Each of the 4 dishes we had was drowning in oil, the steak was huge (a bonus) but nothing else nothing for $58. I can’t explain the rest of the night Just a big let downMore

After attending a wedding the previous day, we met up with family members to have breakfast at this restaurant before heading back to Sydney. And we were very pleased we did as we were provided with a good breakfast menu. The customer service staff were...very professional and friendly and we were seated outside on the balcony with a very good view. We had a good choice of meals and they were all served in good time and they were well presented with fresh local produce and the coffee was also very good. All in all, a very good breakfast dining experience and is recommended.More

Emerson’s restaurant, located at the Adina vineyard, has for some time been one of the very best restaurants in Hunter Valley. The food is amazing! Yes it remains a bit of a hidden gem - perhaps it is a bit away from the popular tourist...places. I would highly recommend that people try this place out. I recommend the pate’, the roasted cauliflower, the duck, and the risotto.More

For some reason, your request came to me (I posted a review on Trip Advisor). The phone number of the restaurant is +61 2 4930 7029. They should be able to help you with a bus company that can transport your group.

Some, but not a huge variety. Not being vegetarian myself I did not take much notice, but I am pretty sure there was only one in the entrees and one in mains.
