Loved that our accommodation (Snowgoose Apartments) had a notice saying there were meals and Trivia available on a Monday night! We went and gave it a try, the food was great, the barman was awesome......unfortunately our trivia knowledge didn't win but what a wonderful night...More

Lovely meal, spectacular view, quick service, gentleman who greeted us was warm, friendly, took our coats, made the kids feel important and explained the menu well (nothing was too much trouble for him). Unfortunately one waitress made us feel very unwelcomed..... which was a shame,...More

The food quality is very good but the service is excellent. Portion sizes are about average and the menu is quite varied and wide enough for most tastes (I didn't check for Vegan or vegetarian options...sorry). Prices are typical overpriced Thredbo prices but what can...More

The Black Bear Inn has a distinctly Tyrolean flavour. Nice ambience, friendly staff, clean accommodation and a great restaurant. Fairly pricey, but so is everything in the Snowy Mountains. Only negatives: 1. the rooms are very small and 2. parking is a huge problem (we...More

Not many restaurants open in Thredbo in early December, but we tried the Black Bear, an Austrian cuisine place. It looked a bit like a theme pub, but in actual fact they served delicious food and it was authentically Austrian style food. Really great meal,...More

Ate here 2 nights on our 3 night stay at Thredbo. Food and service good. Steak cooked to perfection. Kids loved spaghetti. Hungry grandson had seconds!

Friendly staff/hosts. Everything we needed. Comfy beds, clean rooms. Beautiful views of the mountains - would be fantastic covered in snow. Very close to the village. Parking was a bit of a problem, but the host sorted it out for us.

Description
The Black Bear Restaurant offers guests a true European experience. The restaurant has a cosy and homely feel to it and is decorated in a rustic theme with some touches of alpine decor. The mountain views are exceptional, both summer and winter, paired with great food and a rather extensive wine list, provides a wonderful overall dining experience.
