Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wasn't great. View was nice. Food overpriced. Had the nachos. Yuck. Too sweet, very little avocado / guacamole, very little cheese, insufficient amount of sour cream. Bland other than the sweetness which was overpowering. Wouldn't rush back thats for sure.

As locals we have been enjoying Aromas weekly or more often for years. Coffee is always good, staff are friendly and efficient. It has also always been my go to for brunch/ lunch with friends. Increasingly the barking of dogs has meant that we’ve not...been enjoying our visits. Also we find the prevalence of people dining with their dogs on their laps , paws on the table disturbing and frankly, gross. We’ve noticed that the cafe has recently signposted one area as ‘dogs not allowed’ due to the proximity of tables. We were glad to have an area that we didn’t have to share with dogs. They also ask that owners not drop food on the floor for their dogs. This week when I visited with a friend, people with dogs read the sign, shrugged their shoulders and still sat in the area. Staff did not challenge them. This, coupled lots of barking dogs across the cafe made for a not so pleasant breakfast.More

Fabulous location for a lazy brunch with friends right on Terrigal beach. Although it was busy & popular with holiday crowds, the staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was great but the coffee was even better. My friend told me that Ray & Matt...were the best coffee makers in Terrigal and she didn’t let me down - it was excellent.More

My friend and I both ordered the Thai Beef Salad…and they were both terrible. Not fresh, no flavour, no spice, no fresh herbs, no Thai dressing, it was terrible. Nothing Thai about it. In fact, it looked like it came out of a packet from...Coles. Very disappointing. Pick up your game. People shouldn’t have to pay for that crap.More

The only reason I go here is because my mother likes the fish and chips. For me, both the food, service (there is none) and coffee are dire. Even the cakes are terrible. This has been going on for years, Aromas HAS to go. For...something so poor to take up such a prime position is pointless. Just don’t go!More

Forced to go here as no other breakfast options at the Haven atm. Self serve everything. Given dirty cutlery. Long wait.

The worst meal we have ever had there, breakfast roll - the bacon wasn't cooked just completely dried out, eggs benny poched eggs hard as a rock yolks, crust on sour dough toast couldn't be cut even with a sharp serated knife and a large...long black - no not in a mug half filled cup. This was our go to cafe in Terrigal but we won't be going backMore

Gave them yet another chance and food still beyond bad. Amazing position but eat somewhere else. I had burger, couldn’t eat, mackers is luxury compared this rubbish. My wife ordered honey prawns, Soggy sweat think batter, tasteless prawns.

Great location, across from Terrigal Beach. We come here often mainly because we find the food very good, the service efficient and the overall cost for lunch or dinner, very reasonable. The menu, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner offers a variety of choices with...coffee, wine, beer available for very competitive prices. Another advantage has always been that we haven’t needed to book a table, although the venue can be very busy during the Christmas holiday period.More

Right on the seafront and attached to the Crowne Plaza hotel, this outdoor/indoor cafe dining gives the right experience for the area. The food and drinks are as good as you could want and the location is first class. Service was OK. Was fairly busy...so also quite noisy.More

This is a large café attached to the Crowne Plaza with nice views of Terrigal Beach. It sits comfortably in the "nice café" bracket and has no pretensions beyond that. The service is cheerful and the order-and-pay-first format means no queueing or waiting to pay....I wasn't sure I would like this configuration but having sat while being ignored for over 20 minutes recently at another local café, I appreciated being able to walk up and order straight away. I ordered breakfast and was pleased with poached eggs that did not taste of vinegar (no idea why anyone needs vinegar in poaching water!) and properly drained so that my toast was still crispy and dry. I also appreciated the generous serve of butter on the side so I could add my own. The coffee here is really good and it's one of the best cafés in Terrigal in that regard. My only issue was with the dogs! I love dogs but I don't take mine to cafés or restaurants because I know that not everyone enjoys them. The law also recognises the hygiene issues associated with dogs which is why they are not permitted in enclosed areas. To be clear, and "enclosed area" includes an outdoor structure with blinds, like the one at this cafe. Having sat down in this area I was soon joined by two women and two small yappy dogs that smelled exactly the way dogs always smell when they've just been in the water. The dogs barked about every three minutes at just about everything. One of the women kept her dog on her lap and allowed it to eat from her plate. Disgusting! This is also completely in breach of health regulations. I'd be happy to eat here again but I'll probably wander down during a quiet time and stick to the uncovered part of the restaurant. Being stuck in a plastic tent (I was halfway through eating) while putting up with the smell and sound of someone else's dogs is not fun.More

Aromas is nicely situated in Terrigal close to the beach. It has good outside seating. The coffee was good quality and our meals represented an accomplished standard of café food.

Alas, we had the worst breakfast this morning. The wrong juice arrived, hard poached eggs and gluten free toast on both, when only 1 was stated. We also waited close on 40 mins. Never again.
