What a little gem, tucked away amongst the gum trees overlooking the vines to the water. We began our visit with wine tasting, which was informative and enjoyable and bought a bottle of their Semillon Blanc for later consumption with some Tilba cheeses. We stayed for a light lunch of fresh corn fritters followed by fresh berries and cream, both... More

Such a beautiful place. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. One of our family members is in a wheelchair and there was nothing that was too much trouble. Highly recommended and we will definitely go back.

Gorgeous location. Only 1km off the high way too. Place needs a bit of updating, but the staff are really really friendly. We had a delicious lunch of crab in avocado and cashew pesto wrapped in marinated eggplant. Delicious! The wine is lovely, but half were from other wineries which I liked better than the Tilba ones unfortunately. The tawny... More

Rustic charm with knowledgable vigneron. Our wine master as well as the proprietor are both ex British tv and delightful hosts. The food on offer is tasty and well prepared. Live music is played during the year on advertised weekends.

We stopped by for a wine tasting and morning tea. Limited range of wines available but were of a reasonable standard, especially the Chardonnay. The winery is in a gorgeous spot with spectacular views. When we asked for morning tea they seemed a little disorganised but when it finally came the scones were nice. We played croquet on the lawn... More

Dear AnakJalan, Thank you for visiting Tilba Valley Wines and for your kind comments. I'm not sure quite why we were a 'little disorganised' in the morning but I'm glad you enjoyed the scones when they arrived (maybe the oven hadn't been turned on? If it hadn't then it needs 10 minutes to warm up before we can cook the... More

A wonderful winter's day with full sun and all that's right with the world, could not be better spend than at the Tilba winery. Lunch is simply wonderful. Good menu, the freshest ingredients with a home cooked flair and the rustic surroundings make this a truly special place to while away a couple of hours. Indulged in a glass of... More

Stopped in for a quick look, lovely hostess, some great wine and ports and great advice on the area. Worth a look in. Could do with a bit of a freshen up of the gardens as I think this could improve the look especially in the Spring and Summer.

Dear Danny, Thanks for visiting Tilba Valley Wines and for your useful comments. Yes, the garden......what an issue that is....and basically it largely comes down to cost (and I'm sure that I don't need to tell you that a winery is just about the most financially terrifying business there is). We really would like to have more money to spend... More

It is fair to say that this place is a little off the beaten track but well worth the drive for sure. We went for Sunday lunch and they had their regular live music on which added nicely to the atmosphere. The menu is not huge but there was a really good selection of light lunches and some hearty meals... More

Dear Nicole, Thanks for visiting Tilba Valley Wines on one of our music days and I'm very pleased you enjoyed your visit - and the chocolate soufflé. We're invariably busy on a Sunday, but the service shouldn't have been inattentive and I'm sorry about that. Yes, we're pleased with our wines and all the whites received medals this year. Our... This little gem in the heart of the Tilba Valley promises little but delivers in spades. Specialising in Sunday lunch, we sit outdoors on the elevated verandah with ferns and vines filtering the heat and light. The menu is surprisingly broad with a broad range that caters for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. I always struggle to choose. We have... More

We have been there a couple of times and always admired the view. The service is friendly and the snack food was quite good. Although the wines were a bit on a acidic side as they were either far too young or needed a lot more fruity flavour. The latest e have heard was that this winery was up for... More

Dear Angie, Thank you for writing about your visit to the Tilba Valley Winery. And, yes, the winery is up for sale, but until then it's business very-much-as-usual, or, hopefully, better! As for the wine - this is very much down to personal taste, but all the white and rosé wines from 2015 were medal winners. I would agree that... More
