Every year when we are going further south we stop off in Moss Vale for a few days. Always come here for lunch or coffee and cake. Just for the experience. Food is always very good. Friendly team working here.

Long time resident of the area and we travel frequently but often eat here. Couldn’t have been happier with our visit here. From the friendly greeting on arrival to the wonderful coffee (both in presentation, texture and flavour) to the yummy Tuscan vegetable soup (with garlic bread 😋) and my wife’s traditional lasagna and topped off by the amazing...New York baked cheesecake (worth the visit just for this alone!) our experience was exemplary! We have been to this restaurant before and been quite satisfied but yesterday we had, had a business meeting in Moss Vale and asked if we could get take away as our train was leaving in 20 minutes. We ordered soup of the day which...was advertised on the counter blackboard, coffee and banana bread. I would have thought easy. We were asked to wait over near the door and were given the take away coffee. After about 10 minutes had passed we asked what had happened to our order. There was obviously nothing being done as the girl serving us said it would take 5 minutes and she was so unpleasant… no apology. We ended up with some money back for the soup and 2 pieces of banana bread, not heated after only ordering 1 but apparently paying for 2. ( I eat very little bread). We didn’t get a receipt. The whole exercise was very upsetting, I think we were treated very badly and I will not go back there. Luckily we caught the train with about 2 minutes to spare, It had been a long day and I would have loved something to eat.More

Very ordinary veggie breakfast, shabby presentation, no sauce of any sort, quite dry. Poached eggs on top of bread, made it all soggy. Gentlemen next to me asked for sauce also, and his mushrooms were missing from a plate. Also poor decor. Staff nice and...friendly and service fast.More

RELIABLY great coffee and food. Lived in Highlands seven years after forty in Sydney. A hidden gem. Even suits my husband who has become a “ coffee snob”. Service also excellent.been coming here over the last seven years . Owners changed three times but still...a great place.More

"Il Pranzo" means "The Lunch" in Italian, and what a wonderful lunch it was, too. The service was as good as the food. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended.
