We when for a drive to Mittagong just for the afternoon, when to Mittagong RSL for a dinner then on the way home found this hidden gem. Friendly,clean , spacious very welcoming. We where not overly hungry so ken my husband had the tiger prawn...cocktail (which yes I tasted too ) well presented and very very delicious, I had calamari which was so fresh so yum and looked as good as it tasted. Mains look good nice sizes but we didn't have one and jumped to Desert ken sticky date pudding was yum with a beautiful sauce strawberry and berries mine was Banoffee yummy . A place we stumbled on but place we will revisit for a plan dinner,breakfast or lunch date.More

We were going to a function that evening so we just wanted a light lunch and this cafe looked fine from the street. Our waitress gave us the lunch menu and the snack menu and we were planning on a toastie and a coffee. Then...we read the lunch menu. My prawn salad with mango and avocado was amazing, my husband said that his prawn and lobster roll was wonderful. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful, the surroundings were great. Other travellers were at the next table and they told us that they stop then whenever they are passing through. With the events of the past couple of years we haven't been doing much travelling but the next time we are going down the Hume we will be sure to detour via Mittagong.More

Nice food coffee ok But the guy that was working was so loud the people on on of the other table was saying how loud he was they had the radio on and you could not hear it because Of him when the girl came...to the table and ask how it was I told he and she said she would say something she did not he was still to loud he wails be good working in a out side place what a shame next I will drive back to moss vale I would not come back to this placeMore

Beautiful food great service. Hubby had his first ever Alpaca pie and nearly licked the plate. I had salmon which was beautifully done.

A weekday lunch & the cafe was quite busy a little noisy but okay. The service was good and the food came out quickly.The meal was disappointing. My husband ordered fish and while it tasted good it was a very very small portion, l ordered...steak sandwich which had a rather unusual taste. Overall we did not really enjoy this meal.More

As a local resident of 30+ years my husband and I have had the pleasure of visiting a large number of the cafes in Mittagong and Bowral and found most provide good to excellent service and food. Today's experience at the Glass Cafe which we...have previously visited was unpleasant and upsetting. For the first time ever we complained about the slow service and were then abused by the staff with the young male staff member yelling at us at the top of his voice and inviting my 82yo husband to "step outside" in an extremely threatening way! He was obviously having a bad day but if the truth hurts, then maybe they should work on improving both their service and customer relations.More

Tired of the Soulless Service Centres We left the freeway for Mittagong and inspired by previous reviewers we pulled up the the Glass Cafe. Beaut place great atmosphere lots of local produce on offer jams peanut butter yes you heard right peanut butter! So lunch...was called we ordered the pumpkin soup was the special for the day wonderful ! Accompanied by a couple of slices of sourdough oh and did I mention the coffee it is from Mona Vale so not exactly local but yummy as anything so we grabbed a couple of Portuguese Tarts a bottle of the local Savignon Blanc some peanut butter and some raspberry and strawberry jam and headed back to the freeway... bloody terrific great service cheerful staff loved it!More
