Found Toshi's online at 7pm midweek. Arrived at the restaurant to be warmly welcomed. We were given the option of traditional Japanese dining or western seating which was a real buzz as the restaurant is divided equally to suit everyone. The food is amazing, the...cocktails delicious and the service 5 star. What a place, what a treat, will definitely return for more.More

Restaurant has two sections - Japanese or Western - we had chosen the Japanese in advance and were pleased with our choice as this part had a nice ambience. Neither one of us was too hungry so we chose the Vege Set menu (miso soup,...asparagus with sumiso, sushi, agedashi-tofu, tempura and rice & pickles) and in addition the age-nasu (deep fried eggplant) - all to share. The restaurant was quite busy but the staff were pleasant and tried their best. The sushi was beautifully presented and the food came out quickly. Really enjoyed everything actually, it's a rarity to have good veggie options with Japanese cuisine so was very pleased to have found this place. Thanks Toshi's - we will be back!!More

My friend was peckish as we entered Mittagong and we had always had Toshi's on our short list. So I pulled in to Toshi's at 12.20 spot on lunch. Fresh cooked we expected, fresh sea food on a Friday, has to be the best time...and day for our introduction to another on our list. Never ever expect the best 50% because the odds come to bite you. We had a snack.... $ 35.00 for a miserable sushi tray that would cost $10.00 elsewhere. But,, and But again the prawn was air dried, the fish was shimmery and the rice was not palatable to the birds. What a ripoff. I am glad we spent only $35.00 and not $300.00++ for dinner. The great escape.More

6 friends and I had a delicious evening, dining at Toshi's. The food was superb, the restaurant was very busy, but service was quite good.

Once again we’ve had a wonderful meal at Toshi’s. We always have the Wagyu Banquet and it didn’t disappoint. The wine list has a good variety to choose from. Our server,Kelsie, was a Delight. Explained everything to us in detail and looked after our table...wonderfully. Thanks,we’ll be backMore

I've never been treated so badly by restaurant staff before. I walked in and asked if they had an tables left, the waiter said "sure, for how many?" I said it was just me and his attitude immediately changed. His response was rude and condescending:..."JUST one? I only have one table left, don't you want to do takeaway?" I said I'd prefer to sit down to enjoy the meal, and with a big eye roll he said "I guess I can put you on my big table" gesturing to a not-very-big table with three place settings. He continued on this way making me feel unwelcome and as though I was taking up valuable real estate in his restaurant. It was after 8pm on a Tuesday and there were plenty of other tables close to finishing. In the end he made me feel so bad for wanting to eat alone that I said I can just get takeaway if that's easier. His response was: "Yes. That would be a lot easier." The food would have been quite good, but eating $40 sashimi from a plastic tray and tempura that was soggy from being in a plastic tub ruined it. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. It really shouldn't be so hard to treat customers with a bit of respect.More

We travel to Japan often and love Japanese cuisine. This restaurant looks good and the food also “looks good” (although portions far from generous) Unfortunately the food was very plain, lacking flavour. Sauces were bland, lacking substance. Dessert was also beautifully presented but even a...green tea ice cream was disappointing. We go to restaurants to enjoy the essence of good cuisine: taste, texture, smells... Further, the service was poor, once they served a dish they would ignore us, hard to get their attention. Overall highly disappointing experience.More

This restaurant is da bomb We sat in the japenese section- where you sit at the table on the floor, if you can’t sit cross legged you can put your feet under the table and there’s another floor drop away for it. So cool. We...ordered the Ocean trout avoucado roll 8 pieces ,Deluxe sashimi ,Takoyak,Mixed pickles and Spring rolls tataki . It was all amazing. My favourite was the takoyak - so delicious and also the mixed sashimi. Everyone should visit. Also if your lucky enough to get the waitress we had - Kelsea that girl knows her stuffMore

Staff were lovely but the price of the food was exorbitant. $30 for teriyaki chicken which was the size of half a chicken fillet and $16 for two miniature chicken sticks (Yakitori) is not acceptable. The soft shell crab was oily and the flavour of...other foods was noticeable in it. Save your money and eat somewhere else.More

Very over priced! Dinner is double the price of an exceptional Japanese restuarant in Sydney. Food was nice but not to match the price ticket. Would I recommend... only if you have money to spend
