Came here twice for dinner and terrific both times. Big serves, good prices, fast service and cheap drinks make it a great place to eat. The curry dish was fantastic value and quality. Will be back for sure.
Hadn't been to this town for a year so when we arrived decided to eat at the closest venue to our accommodation. When booking you have to choose either to eat at 6pm or after 7.30pm. We chose 7.30pm on a Wednesday night and the...check in with Covid regulations was friendly & quick. Grabbed a good bottle of red at the bar and then our table was ready. I ordered the curry of the day that whilst pricey, was excellent and the 2 courses came with rice, naan bread & pappadums. My wife ordered the small roast of the day and was excellent. Service was efficient and all staff were very friendly. Great club !!!More
Sometimes you just hanker for a good steak. One would think that a typical Aussie RSL club is not the place. Think again. The eye fillets were excellent. they must have been quick sealed on a super hot and clean grill. Medium rare was exactly...that, the sauces, one Dianne the other prawns with Hollandaise sauce served on the side were made in house with great care.
I recommend this as a premier steak venue. well done.More
With my family we had a 6.00pm dinner at the RSL.
Large servings, tasty food, good service.
The only unpleasant experience was as we were leaving we were asked to return our temporary entry pass to the RSL. At no stage we were told to...keep it and to return it when we left. Staff at the reception were loud and very unpleasant.
Thank God the Club is good and the food is excellent.More
It is a very big, bustling club so lacks the atmosphere of a smaller venue but it needs to be big to handle the number of people eating there. Menu is huge, serves are huge, crowds over the June long-weekend were huge, but the Club...did very well handling crowds and orders. Meals were delivered fairly quickly. Staff were friendly and efficient.
A party of 10 on the Friday night all enjoyed our meals, selecting from roasts, regular Aussie, Chinese & Thai offerings. Two more dinners followed for some of us plus lunch on one day. Everything was good. Prices for some of the meals (eg seafood) were a bit pricey but overall, prices were reasonable, including for wine. A good casual option with plenty of variety.More
Fantastic meal started with spring rolls and chicken and sweat corn soup followed by chicken satay Mongolian lamb, combination chow mein and stir fry prawns and vegetables everything was lovely and fresh with good size helpings service was very fast staff very friendly and helpful we...would all highly recommendedMore
This is a very broad menu with something for everybody – roast, main meals, Chinese, Thai, kids menu. It is plentiful, with excellent sides of salad and vegetables. The food usually comes quite quickly and to the table. A particular stand out is the seafood...crêpe.
The staff here are pleasant and hard-working. The check-in rules are odd, but that how it is at an RSL.
Unfortunately service and ambulance has deteriorated this year. For a table of five paying over $100, we were only permitted one menu! We rang ahead to book which they would not accept, then we were seated in a room away from natural light which is a banquet room. COVID and the domestic tourism boom is an excuse for significantly deteriorated standards at this otherwise excellent RSL.More
