Great spot for a more up-market dinner out or a casual lunch. Not cheap but nothing on Lord Howe Is is owing to freight costs. Views of part of Lagoon Beach from some of the tables with the whole restaurant quite open but with heavy...clear plastic blinds to keep you out of the elements in inclement weather. Menu changes daily and regular bus transfers available back to your accommodation of an evening (not sure about that during the day). Ate there two nights and all excellent fresh meals.More

every time we dined here there was a hic up, either very slow service or wrongly charged for things or no flavour in the milk shake to be lied to about the type of milk used in the coffee (we are not blind!) great position...but needs a managerMore

It is the largest restaurant on the island, thus much easier to get booking compared to others. The food (King fish main) with accompanied wine were very tasty. The desert was not great but Ok. We were attracted by the supposed chefs’ coming from well known restaurants…however our experience was that, it was like being in a noisy pub and the food was like a pub meal. It was very busy and the staff rushed off their feet. The lamb...was tough and fatty, and the potato tasted like instant mash. We waited forty minutes for desert after the waiter informed us “it was just coming out”, we left without it as we didn’t want to ride back in the dark. Overall a very disappointing experience, would not recommend.More

This restaurant is very popular. It is also the bakery - the bread is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant has a great location in the middle of the settlement area. And if you are sitting in the right seat - you will have a...lovely view of the lagoon. However, the restaurant is expensive, the food was average as was the service. The waiter actually got annoyed with me after he recommended the fish and I didn't accept his recommendation immediately.More

I had an evening meal here with family and friends, and then also en route to the airport we stopped off to get coffee & brunch. The central location is handy, the lagoon views are great, and our group had no complaints about our meals....But we all thought service was only ok, and maybe that's understandable as they are always busy BUT at the end of the meal we were charged for things not ordered. Could have been handled in a much better way by the staff member. We all make mistakes I guess.More

Coffee and snacks good. Lunch can be hit or miss. Dinner however was delicious. Also the island bakery go in early for bread and rolls etc.

We had a couple of meals at the Anchorage, and enjoyed them both - reasonable selection of meal options, good service, and pleasant environment.

Nice restaurant at night with all the fairy lights can be very noisy..the food was nice but I felt my main meal was very small and for the cost expected more. Coffee & muffins excellent but also expensive..however being on a small Island and the...shipping cost isn't cheap. Lot's of choices at this restaurant for breakfast,lunch & dinner..go there and try it.More

This was a daily stop for our afternoon coffee (the iced coffee is delish!) and where you want to go for a proper scoop of ice cream!

Great food and service. We ate at Anchorage restaurant several times for dinner. We also had their breakfast and some takeaway food including delicious muffins and cakes. Everything about Anchorage was spot on - lovely ambience, great staff, very efficient kitchen and of course excellent...food. The restaurant is also the island bakery for fresh bread. While we were there, the island had some supply issues yet the restaurant still managed to offer a top quality menu. It’s also essential to book ahead for eating out nearly everywhere on the island, and opening hours can change due to supply challenges etc, but we found the restaurant really hospitable and accommodating.More

Very disappointed for their hospitality. We booked table through our accommodation. They got wrong spelling for our family name, but that wasn’t issue here. We couldn’t enjoy our meal, because of noise was too loud. Table wasn’t fully booked, but I couldn’t talk on the...table. So we finished meal as much as we could leave early. Then we paid our bill, I asked how can we get lift to our accommodation. Waitress said we can go back to wait our table. But I knew if we go back to our table, we will be forgotten. So we waited outside. Some staff noticed we are waiting for our ride, but no one asked us again, if we are ok or not. We waited 10 minutes and we just walked home with our torch. Lucky I brought torch with us, otherwise we have to walk in the dark. Very disappointed dinner experienceMore
