Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely open bar and restaurant looking through the pine-trees over the beautiful blue green Ocean. Fabulous cocktails and drinks and a very friendly and welcoming buzz. Tourists and locals, kids and adults of all ages. The fish curry we had on Sunday night was absolutely...delicious. Don't miss it!More

Came here for their champagne and oysters Saturday afternoon just before the AFL grand final. The oysters were very nice with a spectacular dressing and the Arras champagne was equally as good. For me though, these guys could learn a little about customer service as...it was lacking. Friendly when you interact with them but this is a business and at $60 a dozen oysters and $80 for the Arras, come and talk to us and fill up our glass. If they’d asked us a few simple questions, we might have spent double what we did.More

Good value cocktails and some interesting food when they serve it as not always available as home made by the owner's wife.

Serving local beers and interesting cocktails, along with the occasional musician. It's very central and perfect for a drink or two before dinner.

Good place to have drinks and watch the sunset. We had dinner there one Sunday night and there was only one selection available....fish & chips and you had to be there early because once they run out you are out of luck. The food was...delicious and certainly a lot cheaper than at the anchorage across the street. They also have a very good selection of drinks. We went back for lunch the next day. Definitely would recommend this place.More

Love Pina Colada so a few friends tried them..great spot..lovely scenery..However the Pina Coladas had far too much ice and although they did taste nice at $20.00 per glass I wasn't buying another one.

Loved the relaxed and laid back atmosphere at the local pub (opens “3ish”), with a good range of drinks and cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The Crooked Post for Sunday dinner (“6ish”) was a great place to go - we had an excellent Thai fish curry...one week (with locally caught fish of course) and pizza night the next - all home made and team effort from licensee Tim & co. A great spot to meet and chat to locals and visitors alike.More

Located on Neds Beach Road, opposite the Anchorage restaurant, overlooking the main beach is this little relaxed wine bar. It is within an historic weatherboard building with a wide verandah that you can sit down and watch the world go by. It is open every...day, generally after 3pm. They have a few beers on tap, wine by the glass or a selection of cocktails to choose from. It is the perfect place to chill out for the afternoon (particularly if you've gone skin-diving or snorkelling earlier) and take in the sunset.More

This is a cool bar, lovely cosy verandah, sunset sky views from entry verandah, Instagram-worthy patio swings, friendly owner, interesting cocktails and a good selection of wine, and a Lord Howe island beer on tap. Visited twice, Sunday night curry was an authentic aromatic curry...with bbq kingfish on top, a memorable dish. A must do chill spot on LHI.More
