We dropped into Coral Cafe for coffee and also for the internet. The cafe is located inside the museum and also has an outdoor patio for dining. We found the cafe to be hot inside and noticed the fans inside were actually only blowing on the kitchen staff. The internet was pretty pricey compared to the Anchorage cafe. However the coffee was good. We noticed the cafe served dinner a few days a week which evidently is very popular and bookings are recommended. The museum was interesting to stroll around whilst waiting for our cappuccino’s.

Great selection of cakes, sandwiches, frittatas, etc. and the Italian coffee is divine. Super breakfast selection but they sadly only open at 9 AM and close at 3 pm. If not busy, they may agree to prepare a breakfast item, especially if you are vegetarian. About three nights during the week they serve dinner too. As with all places on Lord Howe booking in advance for dinner is essential as they buy just the ingredients they need for the day. You need to advise in advance if you have dietary restrictions. You can pay by credit card. Friendly service and very reasonable prices.

We ate lunch here twice and dinner once. Food was exceptional and not as pricey as some of the other places on the island definitely got our money's worth. It would certainly be out first choice next visit to LHI. Hats off to the chef...........a keeper!

Main meal had specials board trevally/veges, lamb/veges, pork. + entree and dessert. Highly recommend. Bookings for dinner essential as it is small. They also open for lunch

i came here twice for lunch and once for dinner. food was piping hot and the chef's seasoning is relatively on the strong side. i personally like their salad sandwich which keeps the original flavor of the veggie with a little spread of mayonnaise that makes a perfect light lunch for me. their dinner is decently presented with rich flavors. unfortunately the sauce of the squid salad is way over savory and sweetness for me.

A group of 9 enjoyed our dinner here..I had crispy Pork Belly and I'd give it 10 out of 10 staff excellent and we could pay separately. Just beware that eating out on LHI is not cheap as everything is shipped in and the cost of food has gone up everywhere.

Coral Café was our go to place on the Island. Service was excellent, coffee good and WiFi available (at a price). We didn't have a meal there, but breakfast and lunches were being served to a near full café when we were there. It is just over the road from the Lagoon and easy to get to if you want a snack or coffee and then back to the beach.

One of our favourite places to eat at LHI. Food and coffee was fabulous, prices good and the service spot on. One night we had squid salad, prawn linguine and satay chicken Maryland and all three dishes were pretty special. A shout out to Carol for looking after us. Hot tip: don’t forget to try the coconut caramel slice.

There are few places to eat on Lord Howe Island. Most of them are very good but they do not serve everyday of the week. One exception is Coral Cafe that shares space with the information center and Island museum. Lovely outdoor seating with tremendous breakfast and cappuccino.

Had 2 lunches and 1 dinner. Looks great at night so different to the day. Very friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of food which is very different from what I expected with many Asian influenced dishes very well done to their style. The coffee is probably not a highlight but otherwise very highly recommended for breakfast lunch or dinner and they serve wine as well.

We had a couple of meals at Coral Cafe, customer service is great from very friendly staff and the food is very good. We had local Kingfish, dumplings, squid and steak at various times and all were excellent. Steve and his team do a great job.

We managed to book this restaurant for dinner on our last night on the island. It was delicious food; I had the kingfish, my husband had the chicken maryland and my son had the prawn linguine - yum! We topped off our tasty meal with sumptuous sticky date pudding and some of the nicest crème brule we've tasted. Get in early and book, you don't want to miss out as it is an intimate space with room for only a few.

My experience in Coral Cafe was great as a customer and as part of the staff, best place to be on the island! Cute little place next to the museum with simple but delicious plates for breaky and lunch and fine dinners to experience the local fish and the specialties of the chef. If you have the chance to meet Steve and Janet the owners, you will have a good time laughing and listening to stories of Lord Howe Island. Best coffee in town! And don't forget to book for dinner in advance!

Coffee, lunch and dinner on this trip. The food and service is always reliable with a range of fresh, beautifully prepared options. The home made slices are a must, any day of the week. Dinner was simply excellent making the best of local produce.

We dined at the Coral Cafe many times during our recent stay. The food is of a high quality and the prices fair. Definitely in keeping with all other food outlets on the Island. Booking is essential everywhere on the Island. Service was excellent. All restaurants offer patrons a lift back to their accommodation at the end of service.
