Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You definitely need to book this well in advance even before leaving the mainland. A great chef with a wide variety of dishes. Fully licensed with no BYO. Not far out of town but within walking distance. Great for an anniversary or birthday.

This restaurant is always worth multiple visits - from coffee and breakfast in the morning, fresh bread and muffins , lunch or take away rolls and then for dinner. The menu at night changes each day and has a really good range of food. Kingfish...sashimi was a highlight one evening and the gnocchi was delicious. Good range of wine and the staff are lovely.More

Very disappointing. We have visited LHI for four times. Knowing booking is essential, made confirmed booking in advance, shocked to be told it’s fully booked, no table for us without checking our name. The manager responded she didn’t know who took the phone call and...made the booking. Unacceptable!More

Outstanding food. Small, limited menu changes daily. Diner has two choices of a 3-course menu: entree, main, and either a sweet or a cheese plate for dessert. Check the website for menu examples.

Great food and the menu changes daily for dinner. Always well presented with multiple elements on the plate. The portions are moderate, which is good, but all were very well prepared and delicious.

This restaurant has rude staff and the servings are very small. There are far better places to eat on the Island, This eatery is mainly for the guests who stay in house. The cafe at the Museum is more a restaurant and the food is...awesome and great value Also the Anchorage has delicious, well cooked and presented food at a reasonable price.More

This is a very nice restaurant, well out of town. $95 per person for a set three course dinner. All three courses are very small but well presented. Limited drink choice, some good wines, only a few spirits. Staff are not overly friendly or happy....There is no order or routine to the dinner service. Entree may be served and then an hour plus wait for the main, with dessert within minutes of our plates being cleared. Organised chaos. You need to get the bus home, however everyone must wait till the last is finished and ready to go. We had to wait an hour for the last table to finish, after a long day of activities this is very difficult. When we asked together with another table to be taken home the woman was very rude. In this type of establishment I would expect better customer service skills from staff.More

We went to Arajilla on our last night on the island for dinner and it was a perfect way to end a great week. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is a three course menu with two choices for each. The food was really...delicious and creative. The wine list for wines by the glass is limited but I found something! The dining room is well designed and very interesting with very large windows that look out onto the gardens. Can recommend.More

My husband and I made a dinner reservation at Arajilla Restaurant for our first night on the island 17th May and it didn't disappoint. Yes the cost for set 3 course dinner is $95 per person for that you get a choice of 2 Entree,...Main and dessert. For Entree I had Confit Pork Belly with pickled Rhubarb, granny smith apple puree and Thyme jus and hubby had Salt & pepper cuttlefish, shaved fennel & tomato salad, saffron tapioca wafer herb aioli. For mains we both chose Charred Kingfish Pea risotto crab tortellini, speck pangrattato caper butter Turnip sepia tuile. We finished with the same dessert Cinnamon berliners Caramel poached pears, vanilla bean cream and almond tuile. It was simply an amazing dinner cooked to perfection and the presentation and flavours wonderful. The wine selection was great also. We would definitely recommend Arajilla Restaurant if you're on the island and wish to have a special dinner, we were blown away.More

I'd somehow stuffed up the booking and Arajilla was fully booked but they graciously fitted us in. The place is beautiful, the food was excellent and the service perfect. The chefs are doing a brave job, cooking really interesting food rather than the usual international...hotel stuff. Not a burger in sight, and nothing pulled. I would have given it five stars if my blue-eye cod had not been tough, perhaps a bit overcooked. Everything else was very good indeed.More

It can be difficult to get a booking as the restaurant is reserved for guests staying at the resort. It may help to go there in person to get a booking. The restaurant is in a lovely garden setting and has great ambiance. The food...is excellent albeit somewhat expensive for the size of the portions. Servings could be more generous. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful and memorable experience.More
