We stopped here for a hot chocolate and some nibbles while visiting Lockhart. The welcome was very friendly.
It is an interesting place to check out with some art and photos and other material inside.
The hot chocolate and cake that I had was very nice.
All in all it was a nice local country town cafe.

Called in passing thru for Brunch, Breakfast roll and coffee, both excellent.
Dine in or takeaway option browse art and artefacts in the dining room.
Take walk along the main street afterwards, take some time to read about the history of many historic buildings in the town.

Consistently good cafe which has remained open while others have come and gone in Lockhart. The coffee is good and if Em is the barista it is great!

Not a lot of options for me needing a plant based diet and GF. They had to go across the the IGA to buy GF bread and they didn't have basics such as Mushrooms and Baby Spinach.More options would be good when you're only one or 2 cafes in town

Lockhart was very quiet on a Friday morning but there were a lot of people inside Latte Da and I had to sit outside - good for appreciating the big old awnings of the town but bad for flies and heat. The coffee was good - hot, rich and creamy - but the crumbed chicken in the very expensive wrap was that nugget-style reconstituted stuff that comes in boxes from the supermarket.

Nice cappuccino, above average seafood basket with nice salad excellent value at $17. Toasted Turkish roll ver nice $12. Friendly service. Glad we stopped.

Arrived too late for breakfast, but they still served us. Delicious egg,bacon and cheese rolls. Coffee is very good as well. Staff very friendly.

Passing through Lockhart mid-morning hoping to find somewhere for coffee when we saw Latte Da. Seemed to be the best, if perhaps, only option in town.
Provides a pleasant venue with additional street front pavement seating.
The coffee us good as us the accompanying cake selection in gluten free items: I had the gf Jaffa cake which was good.

Visited Lockhart during "The Spirit of the Land Festival" and went to cafe for light lunch (salad rolls & milkshakes). Although the milkshakes were very good, the salad rolls which were already made, wrapped and in the counter display cabinet were not - the buns were dry and the salad tasteless/lacked flavour. Staff friendly and although busy provided quick service.

Got the works burger it was massive. My wife got the fish and chips and it was a huge meal too. Beautiful delicious fresh cheap food. Highly recommend

Why do people work or own (not sure if it was the owner ) hope it wasn't the owner ? coffee shops when you can't even give service with a smile, coffee was pretty basic, won't be back , was recommended by a local as we pulled into town. A let down :(
