Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The new hotel is under construction. A temporary outdoor bar/restaurant has been set up. The venue was very hot. Drinks were reasonably priced but food was expensive.

Great to see dogs are not welcome, am so sick of people who think they have the right to ruin other people's dining by bringing an animal .

Great little pub with the best food but unfortunately they no longer allow dogs in the beer garden so we will no longer be coming. Good luck with the new pub construction.

They are in transition while ghe new hotel is being built, so they've an al freso setup under canopy with the bar and food counter opening to the beach. It was a bit idyllic and we just loved it. Service was great. We ordered the...fish and it was beautifully light and fresh. Nice salad accompaniment; really good chips and a god price.More

Temporary venue right next door to where the new hotel is being built. Parking available in open area opposite the build. Food/drinks available as is undercover seating with views of the water. Steps or ramps make it accessible. Food plentiful and prompt. Calamari tasty. Take...a jacket if weather on cool side as it’s all outdoors. Pics of new hotel plans look great.More

Atmosphere was good Service was ok Food was absolutely horrendous Chicken schnitzel surf and turf ..... salad was just ok,chicken was very over cooked and basically inedible, chips were very hard and dry to the point that if you tried to pick them up with a...fork they would just crumble. All of the above pales in comparison to the "turf" part of the dish,I've eaten surf and turf dishes literally hundreds of times in many different bistros and restaurants but this is BY FAR the worst,it consisted of 5 very small prawns covered in some disgusting seasoning and an odd tasting sauce that came as a side in plastic containers ,was freezing cold and nothing like any turf sauce I've had in the past. This place is literally 100 meters away from a co-op that supplies some of the finest fresh seafood in Australia and they serve this overpriced crap, seriously ??? This isn't the only time I've dined here, the last 4 times I have been very disappointed but just thought I was unlucky ,I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.More

Spent a week in Woombah and had dinner here on Diwali day. Any criticism levied at this pub will be associated with people who have little to no knowledge or appreciation of regional history. Some might claim it should be demolished, others will smile at...the nostalgia of the VERY aged exterior and appreciate it's history. Meanwhile, the service at the bar and kitchen is brilliant, the quality and service in the Bistro is seriously GOOD and stands out (to us) as one the better regional pubs that we've visited in Oz.More

Good old pub right on riverbank we visited last night for a beer & snitty.. meal was plentiful ,veges were good but snitty overcooked . I was lucky enough to have had my name pulled out of the barrel for the "weekly Joker Card "prize,...i did not pick the winning joker card but won $50 for my effort. Good news as it paid for our meal & beer. We will visit again in our few days here. DeborahMore

Yet another disappointing meal from the restaurant. $45 steak that was barely warm and tough. Top dollar for below par food.

There is a sign saying no animals allowed. On one occasion when we were there someone did have their dog with them but it was not very busy at that time.
